Totally justified imo , put his fellow jocks lives at risk by a reckless/selfish manoeuvre taking his mount across to the rail in the manner of a boy racer cutting up other road users . Nearly every other horse behind him was affected and after the race AOB comes on to say there was no pre-race plan to grab the rail !! Bullshit !! How much much more does this mob [ballydoyle] think they can get way with ??? 6 days was a fair decision imo .

Re: Murtagh's ban I'd go even further Jtw, Murtagh was lucky the stewards treated it as "careless" and not "intentional". Had it been the latter he would've been disqualified. Shame he wasn't. 6 days is no deterrent with a valuable race like this. Totally ruined Prime Defender's chance by forcing him towards the rail. Using him to interfere with others in the race. In the Jubilee and July Cup Starspangledbanner made a b-line for the rail. This rail may be important to him and might not have been able to produce his best without it. Getting the lead on his side at a meeting that greatly favoured prominent runners might also have given him an advantage from this manoever. Certainly went against the hold up horses needing to take a pull when hampered. Shame Winston (Prime Defender) and Barry Hills did not object to the riding of Starspangledbanner, with the race going to Hills other runner Equiano.:lol
