Sailsbury 27th June

Recommended Posts

Tom Dascombe's stable have struggled for winners so far but they would of been delighted with Johnny Mudball's performence yesterday, maybe that can kick start their season. They race two at Sailsubry today, the first one was slowly into stride fto at Newbury and finished way downt he field but will be better for the run, their second horse Ballista won fto and aims for a double in a small field of 4, the further step up in trip should suit and he may act even better on this ground. Royal Echange, who finished behind Ballista lto, won his next race so the form looks ok. 14:00 - Knox Overstreet @ 33/1 Paddy Power (bog) 16:10 - Ballista 15/8 Paddy Power (bog)

Re: Sailsbury 27th June 2.30 Salisbury Touch of style could prove very hard to beat but at the price im willing to take a chance on Merrymadcap running a bold race on first start of the season who should relish the super fast conditions and could get an easy time up front, only 2lb higher than last win on turf and has gone well fresh nearly every year so no reason to think he wont for a new yard. 0.5pt e/w merrymadcap 5/1 sj 3.00 Salisbury Many many old favourites line up in this, but the old favourite of all time The Tatling is the one that comes into this having posted several solid efforts, often getting going to late recently but is reunited with Jack Dean today and handicapper also dropped him a 1lb after finishing a good 3rd in ameteur race under a rather weak ride, is now 8lb lower than last win last year in handicap company! 0.5pt e/w the tatling 9/2 bet365

Re: Sailsbury 27th June 15:00 Salisbury Misaro looks cracking value in this race to me having won this race the previous 2 years and having a 100% strike rate over course and distance. His other 2 appearances at the course were over 6 furlongs where he finished 4th and 8th. His turf form has not been so great this year but he has had 2 wins on the AW to keep him ticking over. David Probert is on board today and he took the ride when Misaro won this race last year off a 4lb higher mark and it was Hadden Frost who was on board 2 years ago off a 1lb higher mark. The fact he is running off a lower mark than the last 2 years should definately give him a great chance of winning this race once again and I believe the trainer will have had this race in mind for him for quite a while now. His form last year before going on to win this race looks pretty similar to this year having been well beaten on previous outings so it is not a concern that his turf form has been so poor so far in 2010. 1pt E/W Misaro @ 12/1 (WillHill - BOG)

Re: Sailsbury 27th June 3.00 Salisbury - Even Bolder 8/1 - Coral, Sportingbet Even Bolder ran a cracking race 2 starts ago at Goodwood in a class 3 handicap over 5f. Finished about a length behind Osiris Way, who was very close to winning again nto, and the rider dropped the reigns that day inside the final furlong. He wouldnt have won that day, but the winning margin of a length may have been cut shorter. That run was off the same mark as today and in this weaker field can go close once again. Last time out was over the unpreferred 6f and he pulled hard early on, still was only 2 3/4 lengths behind the winner though. 76 appears quite a high mark for this one, but with Keiron Fox taking 5lb off and in 2008 he won off 73, he could still win off this mark. Versatille tactics wise and wont mind the likely strong pace.
