5.50 - Copperwood - 14/1 VC E/W Went from strength to strength over the winter on the a.w. Has won 4 races from last 7 races and still looked competitive lto off this mark. That was over 8f so return to 7f may see this one go closer. Showed form on turf during maiden days but is mostly lightly raced on turf. This only 8th start on turf so if taking to the surface can go close here. 14/1 is a great price. Will have a small saver on Hustle who should appreciate step back up to 7f and is well handicapped 6.20 - Ajara 8/1 VC E/W & Baby Queen 16/1 VC E/W Both these 2 ran well at Chester on their last start. Ajara is still lightly raced and ran well over 5f on her first try at that distance. Only went down by about 2 lengths in a pretty hot class 5 handicap. Can build on that run and should go close again here today. Baby Queen was also in that race and ran pretty well from a bad draw. Is also lightly raced and won consecutive handicaps last year a shade comfortably. Something seemed to go wrong after that and never really got competitive. Likes to make all and i'm hoping she'll get an uncontested lead here, only 2lb above last winning mark and has ideal conditions here. Trainer going along nicely at the moment and 16/1 is a nice price.

Re: Lingfield - 5th June 19:50 Lingfield This horse was an absolute nutter and if still showing that petulance then my money is effectively down the drain, but Spanish Acclaim went into my notebook after it's second run at as a 2yo and if recapturing that form, can go very close. Is upped to a mile which on pedigree, shouldn't be too much of a problem as it's closely related to the 88 rated Spanish Bounty, who has ran well at 7f. Showed some great speed at 2, so hopefully can blaze a trail and spread-eagle the field. Price worthy of a bet. Balding yard on absolute fire at the moment. 0.25pt EW @ 14/1 VC
