Re: LOTD - Monday 10th May 3.50 Redcar - Jimwil (LAY) Going to get back to winning again by opposing this runner today. Currently favourite in a tight handicap. Form appears decent enough to take this event down but when we look closer we find that he is bound to struggle and is outclassed. His 2nd in his last run of 2009 was achieved with the aid of first time headgear. His only 1st placing was done when he was still unexposed over 7f and unaccustomed to blinkers (his second wearing). Once those one-off boosts to ability are removed you are left with a much better idea of his true prowess. As yet another pointer that we are moving in the right direction, his name does not appear in the list of best ATR speed ratings. This is a race full of young, still maturing horses, many with much better performances, and Jimwil will find it exceedingly difficult this afternoon. Currently favourite @ 5.9.
