DafsT
Re: Super 14 - (April 30/May 1) Sport Rugby Event Stormers - Crusaders Selection 1 Strength 7/10 Date 30/04/2010 Bookmaker/Price Betfair @ 1.67 (Back) Reasoning Super 14 - After both teams suffered away defeats in the last matchday, both Stormers (2nd, 34 points) and Crusaders (3rd, 34 points) will be looking to get back to winning ways as they look to solidify their play-off claims. Despite Crusaders holding a one point advantage in the form table, I feel that Stormers have played the slightly better rugby, with two convincing wins at Blues and Chiefs away from home. I think they'll have slightly too much for Crusaders on the day. I hope Stormers will win. Good luck!
blackcrow
Re: Super 14 - (April 30/May 1) Waratahs -12.5 @ 3.00 centrebet Highlanders have little to play for while the Waratsh with a win will get into the top 4. The away side has a very good record against the Highlanders, especially in New Zealand where they have won their last 3 games there against the Highlanders. With the congestion at the top, then bonus points could decide the final standing s so they will look to score quite a few tries here, and with the Highlanders having a number of injury concerns, their depth will be tested. Waratahs defence has been solid while when they pass the ball around, they have shown that they are hard to stop. They have an opportunity here again to do it against a side that is looking to play the season out.

DafsT
Re: Super 14 - (April 30/May 1) Sport Rugby Event Cheetahs – Blues Selection Blues Strength 10/10 Date 01/05/2010 Bookmaker/Price Betfair @ 1.48 (Back) Reasoning Super 14 – Cheetahs (13th, 11 points) are one of the weakest teams in the Super 14 as their league position suggests, only picking up two wins and a draw out of ten games. They host a under-achieving Blues (8th, 25 points) side that should be closer to the play-off places in my opinion. The Cheetahs have the second worst defence in the league, and the second worst attack in the Super 14, so it doesn’t bode well for them against a Blues side that can play on their travels. I think the Blues will be looking to collect a bonus point here to give themselves a glimmer of hope that they can still finish in the top 4. I hope Blues will win. Good luck! Sport Rugby Event Lions – Western Force Selection Western Force Strength 8/10 Date 01/05/2010 Bookmaker/Price Betdaq @ 1.64 (Back) Reasoning Super 14 – As the bottom club of the Super 14, Lions (14th, 5 points) have been the drubbing team this year, suffering ten defeats from ten matches so far. They play against Western Force (12th, 14 points), who also have nothing to play for and are building team morale for next season. The Western Force have the worst scoring record in the Super 14, only scoring 189 points, while Lions have the worst defence in the league, conceding 437 points. I expect a high scoring game with Western Force edging it by a couple of points. I hope Western Force will win. Good luck!
blackcrow
Re: Super 14 - (April 30/May 1) Hurricanes -15.5 @ 2.05 centrebet With the Waratahs and Crusaders losing last night, it presents an opportunity for the Hurricanes to build on their momentum where they have won their last 2 games and need to continue their play to get a bonus point as well here. Their backline is one of the best in the competition, and when they put it together, they have the speed and power to go through tackles as well as then score tries. The forwards have also lifted and they have been able to drive their team into the opposition half to set up their backs. The Chiefs forwards should give them a good battle but they are without some of their backs and this is where the in form Hurricanes side can make them pay. Hurricanes have won 4 of the last 5 meetings in Wellington and in their last 2 meetings in 2006 and 2008 they won by 25 and 20 points respectively. The home side has too much to play for here, with last nights results giving them further hope Reds -1.5 @ 2.10 centrebet Reds have been in scintillating form as they are not afraid to pass the ball around anywhere on the park. They have beaten the two of the better sides in recent weeks in the Stormers and the Bulls, but now have to travel to Canberra where they have not won in their last 8 games. However, this is a much different Reds side of previous years, and it could be argued, that even the Brumbies are stacked with talent, they have been unbale to blend this together into a unit like the Reds are. Without Mortlock and Smith, the Brumbies hane not got that stability that they need, while Giteau has been up and down with his game. Genia and Cooper have been great and as these two have Wallaby jumpers in mind, then outplaying Giteau and Valentine will go a long way to securing their spots in the national team. Form and not history should dictate this game. Reds with a win and a bonus pointgo second and increase their chances of a home semi final while the Brumbies are on their last chance to get amongst the pack for a top 4 spot. Reds should have too much for them
