Super 14 Week 4

Recommended Posts

Two games tonight First up are the chiefs at home to the Reds. Chiefs have won their first three games away from home, Red have been patchy, one excellent win against the Crusaders a two point loss to the Warratahs and shok home loss to the Blues. Chiefs are rightful favs, but 1.11 ? You've got to be having a laugh, at best they should be 1.5. The Reds at +17.5pts are paying 1.86 on Betfair and i'll snap up some of that. Have also taken a small nibble on the Reds to win by less than 12.5pts @ 10s. Other game looks fairly straight forwards. Brumbies are the strongest of the Aussies teams at home to the Lions, the weakest of the yarpie ones. Brumbies by greater than 12.5pts look straight forward enough

Super 14: Round 4 Chiefs -20.5 @ 2.18 centrebet Chiefs return home after a good run in South Africa which also see the return of Sivivatu and Muliana to their already very good backline. The Reds are without Hynes, Ioane and Davis to contain these guys, and it looks like a game which the Chiefs should be far too good, as the Reds were exposed last week that their win over the Crusaders was a fluke and could not back it up. Now they travel across the Tasman after they were beaten 50-26 by the Chiefs in Brisbane last year and lost 20-12 ni Hamilton the year before. This year's Chiefs are a much better side than in previous year's and with the added firepower in their backs, can see then record a good win here Brumbies -27.5 @ 2.67 centrebet Return of Giteau to Canberra could spur him on to have a big game against the Lions who are coming off a long trip over to play this game. They have struggled in their games so far to record a win which included a 72-65 loss at home to the Chiefs, but this Brumbies defence is much better while their offence, if it clicks, can be just as potent as the Chiefs. Can see the Brumbies scoring at least 4 tries here, and even more, but wonder how the Chiefs will cope when they cannot defend as they have allowed an average of 44 points in their first 3 games
