Join us for a pint, punt and some live poker at the Stan James 2000 Guineas, Newmarket. Over the next six weeks we'll be running daily online tournaments every Sunday through to Thursday at 19.30 and awarding points for the top ten finishers, who will be entered into a weekly leaderboard. Every Friday we'll add the leaderboards player's rake, CIP wagering, STT and MTT fees at a rate of 5 points for every $ of rake, 3 points for every $ of CIP wagering and 1 point for every $ of fees. 1st place in the leaderboard will be published every Friday and will join us in Newmarket, receive Premier enclosure passes for themselves and a partner for Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd May, a seat in our 'Hold'em at the Races' Poker Tournament with a $2000 Prizepool, complimentary bar and buffet during the tournament and to top it all off, the winner of Saturday's Poker Tournament will recieve 2 VIP passes to the Stan James box for Sunday's racing which will include complimentary drinks and meals. The Poker Tournament will take place at the Bedford lodge Hotel on Saturday 1st May after the days racing and you'll have your chance to play against and try to knock out our very own horseracing tipster, Charlie McCann who'll have a $200 Bounty on his head! General Stan James Terms and Conditions apply Specific Terms and Conditions 1.The promotion runs for six (6) consecutive weeks commencing Sunday 28th February 2010, the promotion is valid each Sunday to Thursday and will be in the form of a leaderboard with points being awarded. Points are awarded in the following manner. Sunday – Thursday we will hold an MTT called “Hold Em at The Races” with a $5 + $0.50 buy-in, the final table will be awarded points based on the position you finish, so 10 points for 1st place, 9 points for second place, 8 points for 3rd place, 7 points for 4th place, 6 points for 5th place and 6th-10th place will receive 5 points. These points will be added to the leaderboard daily. 2. Points will also be issued based on rake, Casino in Poker wagering and tournament fees. 5 points will be issued for every $1 raked, 3 points issued for every $1 wagered in Casino in Poker and 1 point issued for every $1 in STT and MTT fees. Rake, CIP and Fee points will be added each Friday, not daily as with the “Hold Em at The Races” points. The points for rake, CIP and STT and MTT fees will be calculated from Sunday 00.01am – Thursday 23.29pm GMT. 3. Every Friday 1st Place will win a trip to Newmarket on the 1st May to play a live final at the Bedford Lodge and the £2,000 Prizepool will be split as follows: Winner - £1000. Runner-up - £500. 3rd Place - £300. And there is a £200 bounty on Charlie McCann. Prize includes two premiership enclosure passes per winner. Each week a chip set will be awarded to second place. Each week the winner will be contacted on the Friday and will have 7 days to confirm that they wish to attend; if we do not receive confirmation then the prize will be forfeited and offered to second place. 4. Only games played in the Casino in Poker will count towards the CIP points. 5. Under no circumstances will any alternatives or substitutes be offered to the winner. As in all tournaments, players may not sit out. Players who are not present shall be "blinded off" and their hands folded until they have no more chips and are eliminated. 6. Awarding of any and all prizes is at the sole discretion of Stan James Poker management and any decisions taken by management in this regard are final. If any player is disqualified by Stan James Poker management, a suitable replacement will be entered or invited into the tournament at the discretion of Stan James. Only one package allowed per person. 7. Travel and accommodation costs are not included in the package. Players must make their own arrangements. Any awards for any costs will be made at Stan James discretion. 8. The package is available to UK and Ireland residents only. Non UK residents may enter the online qualifier but any points potentially earned will not be awarded. 9. The 6 winners will be determined by those players who accumulate the most points in the given week of six tournaments. Re: Stak James 2000 Guineas: Poker at Newmarket Races I think it's worth making a special point that, as with before, this is a rake race and not an MTT league. If you win all 6 MTTs in a week, you get 60 points, but still dont beat someone who has raked $12 over the week on the cash tables!! The MTT results will mean nothing - this will be won (and lost) by volume of rake paid!... Ah ... almost, not quite - last condition is worth highlighting...... "Only the top 10 finishers on each Friday will have their Fees, CIP wagering and Rake converted and added to their points" - so need to do well in the MTTs and get the rake....

+1 Been to a couple of their final table promos but gave up when they turned it into a profit making drive rather than a 'promo'
