always a decent race The Racing Post Chase is a Grade 3 National Hunt chase in Great Britain which is open to horses aged five years or older. It is run at Kempton Park over a distance of about 3 miles (4,828 metres), and during its running there are eighteen fences to be jumped. It is a handicap race, and it is scheduled to take place each year in late February. The event was established in 1988, and throughout its history it has been sponsored by the Racing Post. The race often serves as a trial for the Grand National, and two horses have won both races in the same year. Both of these horses, Rhyme 'n' Reason (1988) and Rough Quest (1996), also competed in the Cheltenham Gold Cup between their victories. [edit] Winners

Re: Key Race: Racing Post Chase Kempton Sat 27th Feb Following the Racing Post's news that Tony McCoy has been booked to ride Nacarat in the Racing Post Chase, bookmakers saw fit to cut the Tom George-trained favourite on Sunday. Ladbrokes and William Hill both went 5-1 (from 6). Other Racing Post Chase market movers on Sunday were Kilcrea Castle (7-1 from 10 with Victor Chandler), Oedipe (11-1 from 14 with Totesport) and Madison Du Berlais, who was also confirmed for the race exclusively on racingpost.com on Saturday following Wincanton's abandonment. He was cut to 12-1 from 25 by Stan James.
