So.. after an interesting weekend Cheltenham is really starting to loom. Dunguib won on the bridle over 2f further and while seriosly impressive with his engine, he clipped every other hurdle and might end up on the floor in a furiously run Supreme if his jumping doesn't improve. AP was booked to ride Denman and will get the leg up next weekend at Newbury. These days Denman probably saves a bit for himself and is usually a lazy horse. If there's ever anyone required to squeeze that little bit extra effort, there's probably noone better than the champion. According's 8/1 Triumph quote was quickly exposed as silly when he got beat yesterday. Pittoni and Carlito Brigante won their juvenilles easily and go for the festival with plenty of 1s on the form book. Interesting to see what Alaivan, Secant Star and Mille Chief will do next week. Re: Cheltenham Update Carlito Brigante was very impressive today at mussleborough i thought and must go to the triumph with a leading chance as mileni says above it will be interesting to see what mille cheif does next week, however carlitos win today was on good to soft which is more than likely what he will be running on at the festival so that was a good sign also interesting to see elliots comments that he would of liked to run him in the grade 1 in ireland if it wasnt for the ground so obviously well regarded. Kalahari King was immense i thought yesterday and the way he cruises through his races is outstanding and the leap at the final fence yesterday was out of this world took 2/3 lengths out his rivals with one last leap and graham lee never had to get serious but will he handle cheltenham?????? He would be an absolute banker at aintree on a flat track. Binocular not the force he was think that is obvious to even his biggest fans now and cant see him in the frame with go native, solwhit, zaynar an Kyber all have better claims than him. Weird Al could go well at a price in the RSA i reckon done all that has been asked of him this season and goes to the festival with all important course form and definatly an E/W chance.
