Reasoning	Opportunity for upset looks excellent. Ferrer replaces Verdasco in day 1 suggesting injury concerns for Verdasco. Nadal also plays poor lately, OK this is different on clay but maybe he will not be great. Czech Republic have Berdych and Stepanek both showing excellent play in Davis Cup. Also some say clay is big favour for Spain but Czechs also like clay especially indoors. I think even in Nadal win, Stepanek good chance to beat Ferrer on day 1, then Czech Republic favourites in the doubles and giving a great chance to cause the upset.

Reasoning	Backing up my bet on Czech I think Stepanek will win today. He's attitude is excellent in Davis Cup. In big atmosphere he will thrive and the way he mixes up game will drive Ferrer wild. Ferrer had been struggling with injury and form in the end of the season and I'm sure it's not ideal for Spain to play him. These pair play 3 times in Grand Slam matches on 3 different surfaces, and all have gone to 5! So this could go the distance and I'll take Stepanek to come through.
