Wolverhampton 3rd Dec (AW) (Late Afternoon Card)

Recommended Posts

3.45 Wolverhampton Via Mia has been rather unlucky in the draw recently but gets a smart draw form stall 6 today and has been running as if a win is within this 3yr old filly, she won a 6f maiden over this course last year but failed to live up to that trip in handicaps and has looked far more at home over the extended mile and this is rather weaker than what she has been running in and with the best jockey in the field by a long way on experience is likely to take some stopping. 1pt win via mia 4.45 Wolverhampton Tourist is possibly on an upward curve but is none to consistent and this field is far classier than that he beat last time out. Arteus is seeking a treble and had tourist well behind in his last win and a 3lb rise in weights possibly isn’t enough yet to stop him winning again this is his first trip to wolverhampton but appears to be enjoying the all weather surface at the moment. Autumn blades is an arch enemy of mine he is clearly capable and remains to be well backed just before the off on all his recent starts but has no finishing gear but if he wants to he could win this and probert gets on extremely well with him but must be backable e/w for a bet. 0.75pt win arteus 0.25pt e/w autumn blades (if no e/w value no bet) 6.15 Wolverhampton Prohibition is likely to be a classy sort and not your typical aw runner and should walk this if fit and well after long break and taking to the aw surface, he showed real promise on debut finishing 4th and then won extremely well on heavy ground beating some classy sorts; class is class, petrovsky, nom dom and all have gone off to win off marks of 65+ and a couple 80+, he has been given a rating of 80 which looks a tasty mark if all is well. With a horse being off the track for so long defenetily need to be skeptical and try and find a cover bet and I feel Oriental Cavalier is gonna be mine, he has been running with credit recently and took advantage of a weak maiden over CD, and looks to have a race in him somewhere on aw this winter. 2pt win prohibition 0.25pt win oriental cavalier (may change stake depends on price 7/1 or bigger this stake stays)

Re: Wolverhampton 3rd Dec (AW) (Late Afternoon Card) 16:45 Wolverhampton Fancy two in this race: Areus and Hellbender. Arteus is seeking a hat trick today and this seems very possible with only a 3lb rise from his distance win at Kempton. This horse likes to lead and should get an uncontested lead today with many of the other horses in the race likely to be ridden off the pace. It is hard to make all on the All Weather but she done it at Kempton LTO so there is no reason why she can't again. Has won off 1lb lower in a maiden over the distance at Kempton so she is definately still handicapped to win. Handy draw in stall 4 as well. Hellbender won two in a row before losing at Lingfield LTO and can easily bounce back today. This was in a Class 2 handicap so today's race is weaker. Has a very impressive and consistent record on the All Weather with 4 wins and 7 places from 12 runs, so only the one run where he has been out the places and that was in the Class 2 race that was mentioned earlier. Is just 2lbs higher than his distance win at Lingfield but 5lb claimer on board today in Lee Newnes could be important. He has won on the horse before and can do so again today. 1.25pts win Hellbender 0.75pts win Arteus
