Best bet of the day - Sat 28th Nov

2.40 Newbury Offshore Account - dismissed by many because he is 7 lb out of the handicap and has barely seen the track in the last two years, but to me he is well handicapped even if asked to race from within the handicap proper and his lack of recent runs doesn't bother me too much as the trainer has already said he is fit and firing at home and has been aimed at this race. He missed the whole of 2008 with a tendon injury, then had a quick spin over hurdles to sharpen him up a bit, and then ran in the National, going well for a long way before fading. That was a fair form considering his lack of runs at the time, he has since had another spin over hurdles over an inadequate trip and could be ready to peak again back in this sphere. He was a talented novice two years ago and his Punchestowns Grade 1 run hints he is on a good mark how making only his second start in handicaps. Could sprint an upset here. 0.5 pt EW.

Has good form in top class company from last season and looks well handicapped based on that. The step up to 3m didn’t seem a problem last time out and can get off the mark over fences here.
