How can you back these?

I know racing can throw up strange results but just how does this horse turn the form around? TIMETORING May '06 - Wins Class 5 bumper at Ludlow (1st of 5) 15th Oct '06 - Novices Hurdle, 2m 1f Gd/Frm (10th of 15, beaten 45L) 7th March '09 - (New stable, has not raced for 2 & half years) Maiden Hurdle, 3m Gd/Sft (8th of 15, beaten 93L) 2nd May '09 - Selling Hurdle, 2m 4f Gd, Gd/sft places (13th of 18, beaten 60L) 25th Nov '09 - Selling Hurdle, 2m 4f Heavy (1st of 10, winning distance 12L) How does a horse that was beaten 60 lengths LTO make that much progress? First-time cheekpieces can make THAT much difference? Heavy ground? Or was this just a real poor race? This kind of thing baffles me...would this sort of thing been planned by the trainer? I don't even think the horse was well backed etc... ...obviously I know that really it was a no bet race but was just looking for opinions.
