12.00 Southwell Many out of form sorts with little course form. General tufto has won 4 times round here from 14 runs but has shaped as if a hard season has caught up with him recently and I am surprised to see him turned out again but with these bunch of ragga muffins it wouldn’t be a surprise to see him go well back on this surface draw hasn’t been kind though. Lord of the dance is clearly capable of something off his mark having run well enough in 3 handicaps recently but never seen fibresand yet so probably best watched. Ten pole tudor shaped with promise in the summer on this surface finishing 4th having missed the break although shown little since but perhaps needed the run last week and could go well at a decent price. 0.25pt e/w general tufto 0.1pt e/w ten pole tudor 12.30 Southwell Another apprentice handicap full of absolute no hopers, so gonna give a chance to Almahaza CD winner. Has run 4 times and won twice and finished 2nd and 4th the other two times, this looks easy to win if coming back to form back on fibresand, dropped back down 2lb for that latest 4th over possible an unsuitable trip. 0.25pt e/w Almahaza 3.00 Southwell Another poor out of form bunch apart from one which stands out which is shadows lengthening who is searching for the treble under a double penalty which is tough but the use of a 7lb apprentice puts him 1lb lower than his last winning mark 3 days ago. Goes well on surface having won over CD time before last beating the well in form swords by over 3 lengths! 1pt win shadows lengthening 3.30 Southwell Bit more like a few in form sorts and several southwell specialists but for once I am gonna side with a horse that hasn’t tried the surface yet and that is Tangerine Trees this course should suit his running style very well, he is always prominent if not leading and that is what is needed round here. He is clearly in good heart having finished 3rd last 2 times polytrack biggest concern has got to be the draw from stall 12 far from ideal. 0.5pt e/w tangerine trees

Re: Southwell 24th Nov (AW) 15:00 Southwell Shadows Lengthening is bidding for a hat trick within a week on the all weather. Has won 2 handicaps in the past week and has a great chance of making it three today. Double penalty is never easy to overcome but the fact James Sullivan takes 7lbs off means he is 1lb lower than his win LTO. Won over course and distance a week ago but this is a tougher race. Brave Mave won this race last year off a 3lb higher mark so is well treated to do the business again. Doesn't really have much more form to go on other than a place over course and distance before winning this race last year. Will be having this one as my saver bet. 1pt win Shadows Lengthening 0.5pt win Brave Mave (Saver)
