The event in Feb attracted 155 runners to smash through the guarantee but I suspect there will be big overlay this time. Only 33 players stumped up the £1,000 entry fee into Day 1a which started this evening. Even though they are likely to get more tomorrow it looks unlikely that they will get the 67 needed to make the Guarantee. They have a mere 7 confirmed starters for day 1b so far. My guess is there will be around £20k overlay. (They had 71 day 1a starters in Feb's Festival event and 84 for day 1b so 155 over the 2 days) I really hope they somehow manage to get the 100 as it would be a terrible hit for them to take. Remember this is not some corporate giant but a family run operation. I fear they will not risk it again and may not offer such a big guarantee if any next time.
