Re: KEY RACE: United House Gold Cup H'cap Chase Ascot 31st October Hopefully more that 16 will line up to keep the each way terms attractive. A few of these will want further than 3 miles at first glance and i'd be keen on Shining Gale to go close. He had snippets of good form last season, and was my fancy for the RS&A Chase at one point but he ultimately wasnt good enough for that. Ran his best race last time behind Killyglen at Aintree, giving him 2 lb's and will have conditions to suit today. He won first time out last season so should be fit enough.

Re: KEY RACE: United House Gold Cup H'cap Chase Ascot 31st October I've got "2 1/2 miles softish ground" marked in my notebook for Shining Gale, I'm sure that's what Charlie Mann said was his best trip/conditions when he named him his notebook horse in a recent interview on ATR.

Re: KEY RACE: United House Gold Cup H'cap Chase Ascot 31st October I put my analysis into the Ascot thread http://www.punterslounge.com/forum/f13/ascot-31-october-92422/ However, the 2 i have come up with are Gone to Lunch (its record in Oct/Nov is very impressive) 16/1 Corals Shouldhavehadthat (has a very low weight & beat Tricky trickster off levels 1st time up last year) 12/1 B365 Both ew at those prices.
