Stratford 29th Oct

1.50 Stratford I feel the favourite could well be worth opposing at skinny odds by the second fav likely to be sunnyhill boy who did nothing but improve more and more each time except a bit of a disappointment in a graded event but made up for it in a listed event at end of his season but if he continues that progress. 0.5pt win sunnyhill boy

Re: Stratford 29th Oct 2.50 Stratford Present Gale - had been progressing nicely prior to falling at Cheltenham last time out and hopefully that blip will not have dented the confidence of this inexperienced chaser too much. He is 3-7 over fences and was travelling well at Prestbury Park before falling last time out. 7 lbs higher than his last win, he could feasibly bounce back here. Wenger - 3 lbs higher than last chase win, which came over three miles. Is a course winner and could go well if tuned up after this long break. Freeline Fury - has strong staying credentials in view of back to back chase wins over 27f earlier in the season. His strike rate of 2-9 in chases reads well and although 7 lbs higher than his last win, should be staying on when others have given up the chase. Hasnt been seen since May when running here over hurdles but respected. Dune Raider - 25f winner in August but bit to prove off back of last few runs. Go West - a stone lower than when last winning at Southwell and is proven up to 26f. Hasn't looked like winning of late though. Skipper's Lad - 5 lbs higher than Uttoxeter win earlier this month and credible third at Cheltenham last time out. Decent second to Kell's Castle at Newton Abbot suggests he will stay all day and after only 8 chase starts, may have more room for improvement. Eased 2 lbs from last run. Present Gale 3/1 Bet 365, 0.6 pt Skipper's Lad, 7/2 Lads, 0.25 pt (saver) Freeline Fury, 7/1 Bet 365, 0.15 pt (saver) With my staking it means I'm taking between 11/8 and 6/4 for Present Gale, with the luxury of two savers. I Did think Present Gale may be 2/1 or under so quite happy to take that price as I think he has plenty more to offer over fences, and travelling nicely before falling last time out.
