I have a question I am looking to answer and wondered if anyone knew of a site/free database that may chuck up the results I am looking for without having to trawl through a form book? Basically, I have a theory that first time out winners may prove badly handicapped when first sent handicapping, because the handicapper has only had one run to assess them on, rather than the typical horse which is allocated a run after three starts. So what I am looking for is a list of all first time out winners in maidens, so I can then look at how they fared on their handicap debut next time out to see if stats support the theory. Any help much appreciated.

I don't know if there is anything on the Adrian Massey site but you can often change the fields to get results/stats etc. I would imagine your best bet would be raceform interactive, I think Nick Mordin uses that, he comes up with similar theories to this then backtests them and finds out the returns from a £1 stake. :ok
