betfair & laying a horse?

hey guys, im new to betfair and have a question for u guys..... i backed a horse it was 180/1 to win the melbourne cup(austraila) well it won one of the lead up races and now should get a run in the main race.... to back it now its

Leica Ding 40 $165 42 $40 44 $76 to lay 100 $82
so i had $6 @180 to collect $998 ish.....now to lay the horse its 100/1 my question is how much shoudl i lay??? i dnt really think it will win...so how much should i lay to make a solid profit??? if i put $7@100/1 i will make 700? if it doesnt win? (LAY) but if it wins i will make 695 liability less 998 for backing? profit of 300 ish?? can some1 give me some tips/help cheers!

At the current odds I say you would be better off just sticking with your bet as to Lay a horse at over 100/1 you would need enough money in your account to cover the liability. If you did have enough in your account however $10 would give you a $4 profit but again the liability involved to achieve that is not worth it.
