14.00 E.b.f. Ratcliffes Syndication Classified Stakes (Class 3) 1m 2f A very open affair to open the QE11 three day meeting. A high draw should be more favorable here and firstly the one to look at is Sir Michael Stoute's TRYST who was just denied a debut win at Head quarters last April and looks to of progressed as a 3 year old when winning on his re-appearance to beat Marcus Tregoning's Makaam and John Gosden's Euston Square. the latter has run well off a mark of 86 back in May. He then came out and ran an exceptional good race when finishing third to Willie Haggas's Roaring Forte who has gone on to better things at York. The step up in trip to 10f is very much an unknown, but what he has shown and the good attitude in all three runs should see him go close in this. The other one that has interested me in this is the unexposed RAINBOW PEAK from the Michael Jarvis yard. Keiren Fallon gets the leg up on this Hernando gelding and he showed a good turn of foot to land his maiden on the All Weather at Kempton back in May, the form from that race has been reasonable and has taken knocks aswell, and the first run on turf we have to take on what he showed at Kempton as gospel. So the obvious choice has to be TRYST who has shown a good transission from 2. TRYST : 5pt Win @ 2.1 Betfair 14.35 Jean Bryant Memorial Handicap (Class 2) 6f Another very open handicap for the second on the card and again Sir Michael Stoute plays his hand here with ENACT who managed to record his first win this year when beating Bobbie Soxer at Nottingham over an extended 6f, the third from that race Invinsible Isle has recently won at Pontefract off a mark of 77 and looked to have plenty in hand that day and could still be ahead of the handicap and win again. Enact has been given a 9lb rise for that convincing win, but i do have a concern over his ability stepping up in company as all his runs in Class 2 company has resulted in defeats, but did finish over 3L in front of Servoca back in April when recieving 5lb in the weights from Servoca and has to concede an extra 1lb today but looks to uphold the form. Saeed Bin Suroor has been having a fairly good run at the back end of the year and has GLOBAL CITY in this. The colt finished second to Awinnersgame two weeks ago at Yarmouth and kept up to his work well to go down by one and a quarter lengths and has crept in to this with out a penalty and could run a soilid race again under Frankie. Clive Cox's GILT EDGE GIRL cannot be dismissed from this either.who also took the scalp of Bobbie Soxer by a similar margin to Enact at Windsor back in May and is back to a reasonable winning mark, the last run at Haydock can be over looked i feel with the ground not really in her favour and she just might be a lively outsider here. ENACT : 3pt Win @ 7/2 Bet365 GILT EDGE GIRL : 1.5pt e/w @ 8/1 Bet365 15.10 Watership Down Stud Sales Race (Fillies) (Class 2) 6f 110y Twenty seven have been declared at present and it could be stick a pin time in what again looks a wide open event. But the one that has shown quality form this year is Willie Haggas's SHAMANDAR who won well when beating Sweet Sonnet in a Listed event at Salisbury in soft conditions, his good milestone was when finishing a nose behind Flying Childers winner Sand Vixen, in time he looks like a 7f+ performer and will take all the beating in this if turning up well on the day. Any adversaries to the likely favourite could come from Simon Callaghan's DUBAWI HEIGHTS who has progressed on every run for the yard and was staying on and holding third easily in the Group 2 Lowther Stakes behind Lady of the Desert at York back in August and has been given a reasonable mark of 99 for this race as finishing behind 102+ rated runners. A lively outside price could be Peter Makins's EXCELLING who finished seventh over 5f in the Listed St Hugh's Stakes at Newbury back in August and had the likes of Shamandar in front also that day.the hold up tactics might be a little more difficult in this big field, but is getting plenty of weight here and could figure in this. SHAMANDAR : 4pt Win @ 1.28 Betfair EXCELLING : 1.5pt e/w @ SP 15.45 Princess Royal E.B.F. Pricewaterhousecoopers Stakes (Fillies' Listed) 1m 4f Sir Michael Stoute won this last year with Crystal Capella and is looking to go back to back in this event with PHILIPINA. The selection had no chance on softning ground in the Listed Chalice Stakes at Newbury when eighth and just never looked at the course that day.He meets POLLY MARK again here and the latter has won three times this year including the Chalice Stakes and went on again to win over course and distance when beating Chiberta King by a comfortable 3L. Has to contend with a 13lb rise for this event today but might find one to good especially the selection. PHILIPINA : 5pt Win @ 3.2 Betfair

Re: Ascot 25th Sept 2.35 Ascot Enact has done all his winning on fast ground and last race was a good second on softish ground return to fast ground could see him bounce back extremely well here and is only 2lb higher after that good second which could be easy to look over on a fairly light race profile and back on fast ground. Brenin taran has been running with threat last 2 times but may find this a little hot but if here in same mood could go well for nothing less than a place and well worth an ew punt. 1pt win enact 7/2 bet365 0.25pt e/w brenin taran 8/1 bet365 4.20 Ascot Scorching wind has been superb on all weather and was beaten by what looks a classy sort coming over from Ireland and is 3lb lower today, does have form on turf aswell winning on good ground at doncaster and looks a massive threat. Woodlark island has beat some classy sorts on his route to a win last time out when a cosy winner in a weak maiden, but looks extremely well treated on handicap mark if running anywhere near as good as he has shown in some of his maidens this season. 0.5 pt e/w scorching wind 6/1 bet365 0.5pt e/w woodlark island 7/1 bet365
