4.05 Ayr This looks a very good contest as twenty seven sprinters face the starter over this six furlong trip. In the five furlong sprint today the first two home were drawn low, and if that bias continues onto tomorrow then Ingleby Lady has a chance. David Barron's filly disappointed at Doncaster last time out but is lightly raced and may be worth another chance. Being by Captain Rio, the slight bit of give in the ground won't inconvenience and although she is seven pounds higher than her last win, she could go close if Silver Wind gives them a pace to chase on that side. The main pace in the race looks to be coming down the centre from Bel Cantor and possibly Cara's Request though, so it will be interesting to see how the field spreads out around them. If those two runners do make the running, then Dark Lane could be well positioned to pounce late, starting from gate 15. Trainer Richard Fahey has enjoyed a magnificent season, has saddled two winners up at this meeting today already, and his Namid gelding caught the eye when chasing home Cape Vale and Novellan Lad at Haydock on Tuesday. He is a winner already off this current mark of 80 and although that win came in his own age group, he showed last time out he could mix it up with his elders. Fahey sends out three in the race, but Dark Lane looks first string on jockey bookings and looks open to the most improvement. Rash Judgement, Felday and Daffodil Walk were all others I considered but I've tentatively left alone on the belief that a draw in the lower half of the field will be most useful. Dark Lane 20/1 Bet 365, 0.75 pt EW (4 places, 1/4 odds) Ingleby Lady 28/1 Coral (bog), 0.25 pt EW (4 places, 1/4 odds)

Re: Ayr - Fri 18th Sept 4.40 Ayr The nifty fox comes here in fine form having run a good 2nd last time out is raised 1lb for that and had previously won well, loves this sort of ground and has ideal draw from stall 1. Fivefootnumberone finished 4th behind nifty fox last time out and is dropped 3lb and puts him 2lb lower than last winning mark and is another that should relish these sort of conditions draw could be a concern though. 0.5pt e/w nifty fox 0.25pt e/w fivefootnumberone 5.15 Ayr Allformary won in gritty style last time out and is raised 5lb for that effort, that was on softer conditions aswell and under Eaves, is lightly raced and if building on that win this should be easy. Moon lightning probably rode his best race under todays jockey 3rd behind flapper time before last and ran a good enough race behind vita mia has had a little break and gets to run off same mark today. 0.5pt e/w allformary 0.25pt e/w moon lightning
