Arkantos
Essentially just somewhere for me to keep my bets, while I try out new systems. Got a few I've had going since July, and all seem to be doing fairly well. So I will describe them in here, and hopefully they won't mess up just because I'm sharing them! Best Bet of the Day - Very simple, a bet which I feel represents outstanding value, on any market. Usually shorter than 3.00 Trebles - Will only do this on weekends when there will be plenty of matches. A treble in the 1X2 market, usually paying between 3.00 and 5.00, with all selections being value. Longshot of the Day - Pretty much as it says on the tin. Will accept odds of up to 20.00 for this, again in any market. Longshot Lucky 15 - Again only on weekends. Similar to the 1/X threads, will be choosing 4 longshots (at any odds, as long as I feel they represent value) and placing them in a lucky 15. Won't necessarily be HT/FT market, but more than likely will be. Ok, so 100 point fictional bank on each, will place 1 point on each selection, except for the lucky 15 where I will place 1.5 points for convenience's sake. Bets for Saturday: BBOD - England v Slovenia - Lay Any Unquoted @ 3.5 I don't think anyone can see past England winning this. They are looking a good side, and that is reflected with just 1.18 being quoted on Betfair for the victory. However, Slovenia have been superb in qualifying at the back, conceding just 4 in their 7 games so far. Given this stat, I feel that the Any Unquoted has to be taken on at such short odds. I expect England to win, but not by the massive margin some will expect. 2-0 or 3-0 I feel would be the most likely. Treble - Gabon v Cameroon - Cameroon @ 2.16 - Scotland v Macedonia - Over 2.5 @ 2.40 - Norwich v Walsall - Norwich/Norwich @ 2.60 1pt treble pays 13.48pts including stake. Cameroon look far too big against a Gabon side who have been stuttering recently. Scotland and Macedonia both look very dodgy at the back and could be a high-scoring game. Norwich look superb under new manager and can destroy a lacklustre Walsall. Longshot - Georgia v Italy - First Goal Scored - 71-80 mins @ 15.5 - 81-FT @ 19 0.5pts on each. Italy haven't scored in their last 3 starts and Gerogia have been specialists at shutting up shop in Tblisi. I think Italy will win but I feel Georgia have more than an outside chance of making them sweat. First goal in the final 20 minutes looks good. Longshot Lucky 15 Scotland v Macedonia - 1/X @ 15 Charlton v Brentford - Charlton 3-0 @ 11 Yeovil v Swindon - 2-2 @ 15 Yeovil v Swindon - 1/X @ 15 1.5 pts potentially returns 4915.10 All odds Betfair, except Lucky 15s which will be from SJ. Damn that's a long post... Here's hoping it was worth it! :cheers
