4.00 Epsom Only a small field go to post here but we should get the race run at a proper pace and Zowington could be involved at the finish. Stuart Williams' seven year old has been in good form under William Carson and was beaten by just a head at Newmarket two runs ago before going down by just half a length at Newmarket off 1 lb lower last time out. He is a course winner, four time winner over the trip, and is my main bet. Filligree is co-top-weight and will find this easier than some of the class 2 handicaps she has contested in recent runs. She was a length off Zowington at Folkestone in June and a 6 lb swing in the weights gives her a chance of reversing the form. Rocker is another course winner, is only 4 lbs higher than when winning here in July, and will be finishing fast. Zowington 7/2 Bet 365, 15 pts Filligree 6/1 Bet 365, 2.5 pts Rocker 7/1 Bet 365, 2.5 pts

Re: Epsom - Thur 3rd Sep Agree with Filligree and Rocker, but also like the look of Gentle Guru whos form on paper doesnt look great this year, but with a closer look has been running well in defeat. Started this year only going down by 6 1/2 lengths in a grade 1 off a mark of 85. Of late has competed well, only going down by a couple of lengths on a number of occasions off higher marks. Off a low mark today, is stepped up to 6f which looks like it will suit as last 2 starts has stayed on well but hasnt reached leaders and is on proven ground. Still debating over Filligree, Rocker, Gentle Guru and We Have A Dream but will look at the prices tomorrow.
