Cramer
Sport Motorsport Event Belgium Grand Prix Pole Position Selection Sebastien Vettel Strength 10/10 Date 29/08/2009 Bookmaker/Price Sportingbet @ 4.50 (Back) Reasoning This seems like a reasonable price after final practice. Team didn't appear so much in practice but this is normal. Webber has engine problem so no running so big disadvantage. Brawn seems off the pace in cold temperatures. McLaren maybe not so fast in technical parts of circuit. Ferrari with Kimi car not so good in qualifying despite Kimi excellent in Spa. This leaves Vettel, excellent chance! Cramer
Re: Belgium Grand Prix Sport Motorsport Event Belgium Grand Prix Selection Nick Heidfeld to finish on podium Strength 10/10 Date 29/08/2009 Bookmaker/Price Paddy Power @ 3.50 (Back) Reasoning Heidfeld looks an excellent price to finish on the podium. BMW car looks very strong this weekend and he's in good position in 3rd. Fuel is reasonable compared to guys around him and he is strong driver when car is good. Sport Motorsport Event Belgium Grand Prix Selection Fernando Alonso to finish in the points Strength 10/10 Date 29/08/2009 Bookmaker/Price Stan James @ 3.75 (Back) Reasoning This looks like a big price on Alonso for points. He is 13th, fuelled much better than the top 10 guys and has a nice chance. He is agreat racer and can be aggressive with no championship to think of. He's got similar pace to Hamilton who is starting 12th, yet Hamilton is 2.1 best for points. Good price. Sport Motorsport Event Belgium Grand Prix Selection Jaime Alguersuari to beat Sebastien Buemi Strength 10/10 Date 29/08/2009 Bookmaker/Price William Hill @ 3.25 (Back) Reasoning This looks like very big price. Buemi starts one place ahead with pace in Q1 very close. But Alguersuari choose to start with a lot more fuel, and surely a lot of ways this race can turn out better for him. Alguersuari is impressive since his debut and I think good chance to beat Buemi. Sport Motorsport Event Belgium Grand Prix Selection Adrian Sutil v Giancarlo Fisichella Strength 10/10 Date 29/08/2009 Bookmaker/Price William Hill @ 5.00 (Back) Reasoning This might look crazy, or it might be brilliant! Fisichella starts 1st and Sutil 11th in same car that has proven to be quick. But surely not quick enough to win race? I think we see good chance of Fisichella being past a few times in early laps and moving back through field. Then fuel strategy play against him as he has 30kg less fuel than Sutil. So Sutil will come into this as race gets older. Also, Force India car has been unreliable so chance Fisichella reitres giving to Sutil. Nice price. Sport Motorsport Event Belgium Grand Prix Selection Winning margin under 7.5 seconds Strength 10/10 Date 29/08/2009 Bookmaker/Price Skybet @ 2.00 (Back) Reasoning This is first time I have tried this market, but 7.5 seconds seems too high. Race has strange grid and seems like a very competitive race between many cars. Already seen in practice and qualifying how close the cars are. I think excellent chance of a close finish in the race. Sport Motorsport Event Belgium Grand Prix Selection Kimi Raikkonen to finish on podium Strength 10/10 Date 30/08/2009 Bookmaker/Price Sportingbet @ 1.80 (Back) Reasoning This looks very solid. Raikkonen is excellent on this track, car seems reasonable, fuel is good and car always is strong in race than qualifying. I thought about bet on the win, but maybe too far from 6th place but podium very solid. Sport Motorsport Event Belgium Grand Prix Selection BMW to be highest scoring constructor Strength 5/10 Date 30/08/2009 Bookmaker/Price Paddy Power @ 6.00 (Back) Reasoning This looks like a good chance in competitive market. Already mention BMW look strong this weekend and with cars starting 3rd and 5th great chance. This market should be close and I think BMW are due a good race and can take this, especially when chances appear similar to Toyota who are priced at 3.80. Sport Motorsport Event Belgium Grand Prix Selection Mark Webber not to finish in the points Strength 10/10 Date 30/08/2009 Bookmaker/Price William Hill @ 2.50 (Back) Reasoning I think red Bull will struggle. Expected to be excellent in this race but didn't happen in qualifying. Also, they have meny relibility concerns so don't bank on finishing. I'll back both not to finish in the points and either one does so profit made. Both no points excellent! Sport Motorsport Event Belgium grand Prix Selection Sebastian Vettel not to finish in the points Strength 10/10 Date 30/08/2009 Bookmaker/Price William Hill @ 2.75 (Back) Reasoning think red Bull will struggle. Expected to be excellent in this race but didn't happen in qualifying. Also, they have meny relibility concerns so don't bank on finishing. I'll back both not to finish in the points and either one does so profit made. Both no points excellent! Sport Motorsport Event Belgium Grand Prix Selection Rubens Barrichello not to finish in the points Strength 10/10 Date 30/08/2009 Bookmaker/Price William Hill @ 3.75 (Back) Reasoning This looks like a reasonable price, as not sure how Barrichello will go. Brawn definately struggling, but he managed to do great job in qualifying. Qualified 4th, but he is lightest on fuel. so could struggle in 1st stops and lose places. Then we see real pace as he is level with other guys and it might not happen. Also important race for championship, and Rubens very unlucky driver, maybe have some problems. Sport Motorsport Event Belgian Grand Prix Selection Giancarlo Fisichella not to finish in the points Strength 10/10 Date 30/08/2009 Bookmaker/Price William Hill @ 3.00 (Back) Reasoning I think Fisichella will have a tough race. Starting pole but big pressure on now ans I think other cars will have the race pace on him. Strategy he is fairly light so after first stint he could really have problems in the pack. Also, when Force India have been close to getting points in the past they have been unlcuky, maybe again.
Maroon Heaven
Re: Belgium Grand Prix Nico Rosberg Points Finish Belgium GP - 2.78 BF 10th on the Grid tomorrow after qualfying with the most fuel on Board. (Forecast for NO Rain). Of the 11 GP's so far he has been in the points 9 times. Been linked with alot of the top F1 teams this weeks - Most recently McLaren. Has raced here twice with Williams - Both times bringing the car home, once in the points.
Crouch Potato
Re: Belgium Grand Prix BMW - Top Scoring Constructor @ 6 Paddy Power Superb bet this. Raikkonen fav, but Badoer is a non-factor. Red Bull awfully low down in quali. BMW nicely poised with reasonable fuel levels. Double Points Finish - Torro Rosso @ 51 Paddy Power Rain might not be forecast, but this is SPA, so that forecast is about as reliable as a Sebastian Vettel engine. Torro Rosso's should enjoy this track and a safety car, showers or a multi-car crash can all bring this one home. You need look no further than qualifying to see just how unpredictable SPA is. Spooner
Re: Belgium Grand Prix Points finish Belgium GP - Giancarlo Fisichella 4/1 VC Bet My knowledge is very limited on F1 but VC Bet go 4/1 about Fisichella finishing in the points when he starts in pole position, he'll have to have a nightmare race to finish out the points, surely to big a price? I have had my fingers burnt several times before with inaccurate weather forecasts, usually when rain was forecast (William Hill weather centre, with a retired Michael Fish fronting one may suspect) If it rains then anything could happen. Even if the forecast is right, this could be anything. Most open race for ages. BMW top points looks a good call. May opt for a big price EW for the race. Stick it here later.
