ISLE OF MAN - Microgaming announced today that it has terminated its software licence agreements with the Linx Media Group, with immediate effect. It has been advised that the group Companies are insolvent. Microgaming is presently gathering all facts relating to this matter and will provide further announcements as and when information becomes available. Microgaming recommends that any Eurolinx, BetOnBet and Linx Casino players affected by this situation submit their enquiries directly to the relevant liquidator as soon as contact details become available

Re: Eurolinx, BetOnBet bite the dust Wow - another set of players going to lose funds on a Microgaming Network problem? (I dont know anything beyond post 1 - so am guessing at the severity of it a little). It was interesting that in the letters page just this month in Inside Poker mag, they were defending Microgaming, saying that they "don't feel Microgaming did anything wrong" with relation to Tusk and was a victim. I agree that Ladbrokes are trustworthy (they manage the funds themselves and are a brand I trust), however, I increasingly view Microgaming as one of the least trustworthy networks out there. If they are going to keep doing business with skins out there without doing anything to protect their players funds (washing it off every time as "not our problem - speak to the liquidators and if you're lucky you may get a fraction of your funds back"), then there's nothing to stop this happening again and again! If microgaming are to be trusted then they need to ensure players funds are ring fenced and protected!! (It's our money that they hold on deposit - it's not theirs to spend and lose!!) Compare it to the case on the everleaf network when PokerTrillion went under - everleaf, a far smaller and probably less trusted network - players funds were ring fenced and no players lost any money - that's the way it should be!! (and I acknowledge the problems Blonde had with PT, however I still think it's great that despite going bust, Trillion players all got their money back!)

Re: Eurolinx, BetOnBet bite the dust This is all I get when I try log in BetOnBet. Sure I've got (had:sad) money in there. I gave up trying to play on microgaming sites a while ago because I just can't get them to run on our connection so not been on for ages. betonbet210809.jpg

Re: Eurolinx, BetOnBet bite the dust Think you just have to use your own judgement really. When you play on Ladbrokes / S James / Blue Square then you are dealing with firms who are not going to go bust. Join HawayPlayPoker and you're taking a risk.

Try complaining to Stan James about Stan James poker and you will just get returned to the 4 or 5 employees who work for Stans poker CS, Mr James himself has long since left the building as can be seen in threads on PL about their bookmaking activities. And don't start me on William hills, they would sell the logo to anyone who offered them 1% of their profits.(different platform I know) With the exception of Ladbrokes I don't think any of the sites on microgaming has the traffic to guarantee players funds and they wont go and sell a couple of betting shops to do so.

Re: Eurolinx, BetOnBet bite the dust There's one Microgamming site I'd trust with my life: 32Red. They are the first site I ever played on. I have never had any doubts about their integrity. I don't play casinos but when a site like Casinomeister constantly gives them a yearly award for the integrity of their casino operation then I am doubly reassured. :ok

Re: Eurolinx, BetOnBet bite the dust About six weeks ago, I received a payment from BetOnBet to my Moneybookers account, despite not having asked for a withdrawal. I think it was probably the contents of my account (about what I'd guess the amount was, not much). At the time, I assumed that they'd decided to repay my balance because I hadn't played there for months/years, but thought it seemed a bit odd. Was I just lucky? :unsure
