3.25 Newmarket Another classy sprint handicap here, we really are spoil for choice tomorrow, and top-weight Enderby Spirit could run well at a double figure price. The thing that draws me in about this one is that he has twice proven he is closely matched with Total Gallery, finishing a neck second to him in a listed race at Ascot in April, and then a length off him in a course and distance handicap here in July. Total Gallery is a very useful horse and was second to only Kingsgate Native who is a Group 1 sprinter - they don't get much better than him - so that is useful form from Bryan Smart's colt. He won at Haydock earlier in the season off 98 and had several of these behind (Proclaim, Five Star Junior and Noverre to Go to name three), and that form has been boosted though the last named. He was another horse that disappointed in the Stewards Cup last time out but he fared quite respectably of those drawn in single figures and he may still have a bit more improvement left in him off a mark 1 lb higher than when chasing home Total Gallery over CD here. 12/1 Bet 365, EW.

Re: Newmarket - Sat 15th Aug 16.00 Newmarket - Electioneer. Mark Johnston's colt showed good promise on debut and backed up that promise with a convincing win last time out at Beverley. He is one of the more unexposed horses in the race and still open to more improvement and with a few of these horses struggling of late he won't need too much improvement to win this one. The ground shouldn't be a problem and this is a fairly confident selection.
