4.20 beverley Desperate dan has been in fine fettle lately and ran a cracker in a competetive handicap last time out over 6f where i wrote him off as being to heavily handicapped but i was proved wrong when finishing well again off todays mark and on similar ground loves the fast ground but also goes well on softer ground on his day. Is dropped a furlong today which should suit even more as has won 11 of his 14 wins over this trip! Interesting to see Callan taking ride and I am a big fan of him 1pt e/w desperate dan (super nap)

Re: Best bet of the day 12th Aug 15.00 Salisbury - Frozen Power. Here I side with in-form Godolphin's Frozen Power who shaped with great promise on debut. He then backed up that promising run with a win next time out when beating Waveband by a neck at Epsom. Nothing special has came out of that race but the performance was impressive. The ground should not be a problem and Frozen Power will relish the extra 212 yards. The most likely danger is Janiero but with him 6lbs higher in the weights and is now fairly exposed I feel Frozen Power can go on to win this from the perfect draw. 2 point win supernap.
