Re: Call or Fold? I'd call or push all in. You already have top pair with top kicker You probably have him beat since 2 pair is unlikely, small chance of a set though (worst case scenario). But you still got lots of out to get the nut flush if that is the case. Worth the risk, push :)

Re: Call or Fold?

I'd be shoving' date=' but by the tone of your thread, I'll guess that Mrs RB folded and the checker held 10hJh, called and made a straight flush.[/quote'] No, she called and the checker folded, leaving it H2H. Personally, I reckon there was no way of getting out of that hand. As was stated earlier, top pair on board, top kicker and Nut Flush draw. Even to a high pocket pair, there are enough outs to commit to calling here. Mrs RB was pissed off at the conclusion and felt she shouldn't have called, so the reason for making the thread more than anything was to show her that she did do the right thing and the conclusion was just unfortunate. ***** Hand 1708189033 ***** 100.00/200.00 Texas Hold'em (No Limit ) - 30 July 2009 20:26:47 VRoll Satellite (Real /Tournament ) Seat 1: Unknown (0.00) Seat 2: Coo1fish (570.00) Seat 10: Mrs_RB (4980.00) Seat 3: Peekay13 (2415.00) Seat 4: Spitvenom (785.00) Seat 5: pinknails1 (3270.00) Seat 6: true blue7 (2040.00) Seat 7: mindhack76 (6031.00) Seat 8: Unknown (0.00) Seat 9: DikHurtz (650.00) Coo1fish post SB 100.00 Peekay13 post BB 200.00 ** Deal ** Coo1fish [N/A, N/A] Mrs_RB [9s, Ah] Peekay13 [N/A, N/A] Spitvenom [N/A, N/A] pinknails1 [N/A, N/A] true blue7 [N/A, N/A] mindhack76 [N/A, N/A] DikHurtz [N/A, N/A] *** Bet Round 1 *** Spitvenom Fold pinknails1 Fold true blue7 Call 200.00 mindhack76 Fold DikHurtz Fold Mrs_RB Call 200.00 Coo1fish Fold Peekay13 Check *** Flop(Board): *** : [3h, 9h, 8h] *** Bet Round 2 *** Peekay13 Check true blue7 All-in 1840.00 Mrs_RB Call 1840.00 Peekay13 Fold *** Turn(Board): *** : [3h, 9h, 8h, 7c] *** River(Board): *** : [3h, 9h, 8h, 7c, 2d] *** Showdown *** : Rake: 0.00 Total Pot: 4380.00 Coo1fish Fold Win: 0.00 Mrs_RB [9s, Ah] Pair of nines Win: 0.00 Peekay13 Fold Win: 0.00 Spitvenom Fold Win: 0.00 pinknails1 Fold Win: 0.00 true blue7 [7h, Qh] Flush to the queen Win: 4380.00 mindhack76 Fold Win: 0.00

Re: Call or Fold? There are plenty of situations where I'd fold this hand. However it certainly wasn't a given here that you needed to hit. There are a number of hands he may move in with that you are dominating, JhTx, A9, Kh9x etc Although I understand it meant calling an overbet. I think the bigger issue is preflop - A9x isn't a limping hand when another player has already called. It's gets you into horrible trouble, this a prime example.
