7.35 Pontefract Kay Two has a good record at this course with two wins over this distance and he is only 2 lbs higher than when winning here last October. A second at York in June shows he retains his ability and from a low ish draw I think he'll go well. 9.10 Pontefract Royal Challenge has dropped to a decent mark after a lengthy lay off but came close at Wolverhampton last time out and may be worth chancing again. he has placed at the track before and drawn around Redwater River and C'mon You Irons looks as if he'll get the race run to suit.

Re: Pontefract (eve) 17/7/09 19:05 Pontefract Madamilly takes a step down in grade and could go well tonight. Hasn't done too badly and won here over 2f shorter in October. Course winning experience is vital here. Soft ground shouldn't be too much of a concern and could open this race up a fair bit. Odds of around 10/1 William Hills are too good to turn down. EW
