Re: Beverley 10/6/09 3.00 Beverley Haafhd Time could have been let in lightly on 55 here and could make a mockery of that mark for Tom Dascombe. He's very nicely bred - by 2,000 Guineas winner Haafhd and out of a Sadler's Well's mare, so his pedigree on the dam's side suggests he has the stamina to act over this trip. He didn't show a great deal in his first two starts but his latest third at Salisbury qualified him for a mark, and the handicapper looks to have been quite lenient. The winner Clowance House ran well off 79 at Newmarket when last seen and the second, Talimos, hacked up in a Brighton maiden at the weekend, romping home 12 lengths infront of the 70-rated Sixties Swinger from the Jarvis yard. Haafhd time was eleven lengths adrift of the leading pair at Salisbury that day, but like many similar types, may come into his own once handicapping. 9/2 Stan James.
