Haydock Weds 10th June

Recommended Posts

I've been looking at the Goldolphin horses a bit recently & feel that they are likely to win when placed in the right race. 8 wins in over 60 races isnt great form & Dettori is 0/16 in last 3 weeks for the boys in blue. At Haydock tomorrow in the 3.40 race, they have Global City whose form reads 2 wins & 1 place in 7 races. The 2 wins were both as a 2yo at Yarmouth & Lingfield (AW). The 1st at Yarmouth was only a class 5 maiden after which they did thier usual probably expecting they had a decent one, & ran it in the Molecomb stakes (group 3) at Goodwood, beaten 8.5L into 9th place & outclassed. It then finished 6th in a Nursery at Chester over 5f from a bad draw, & was highest placed of the high drawn horses that day beaten nearly 6L. On its final start as a 2yo won at Lingfiled in a class 4 conditions stakes easily winning by 3.5l. Campaigned this season to date in Class 2 handicaps & put in a good performance 1st time up at Salisbury only beaten 1.5l behind instalment. Its latest race was a 5th place behind impressive winner Bouvardia at Newmarket off 96. Was beaten 2.5L that day & 4th place Proclaim has won since, plenty of winners will come from that race. Ground & trip will be fine & for me this represents an ideal placing for a Godolphin horse with the drop to class 3 company.

Re: Haydock Weds 10th June 4.10 Haydock There could be plnety of pace on the cards here which would play into Capucci's hands. I backed this one on his reappearance at Newcastle on what was his first start for John Quinn, but they left the headgear, with which he had done well for John Gosden, off that day. He finished mid-field that day and had a similar sort of result at Haydock next time out, but offered a strong hint at Ripon last time out that his turn wasn't far away when a tongue strap was back on. He was only beaten by a length into third that day and runs off the same mark here. 11/2 Boyle
