8.30 Windsor This is potentially the race of the day with a plethora of improving handicappers all locking horns. Top-weight Stravella makes her handicap debut after making all to land a Chepstow maiden on her second start last time out and Falcon Rock similarly makes his handicap debut for Simon Callaghan. Sign of the Cross has been in good form in sellers and would be dangerous if able to carry that form back into handicaps and Sarah Park will strip fitter for her last run and is open to improvement this season for Brian Meehan. However, the one that I feel deserves another chance is Fancy Footsteps. Clive Cox's filly disappointed last time out at Bath but wasn't fully tuned up to go that day, as reflected by the betting and her eventual flat performance. However, she had been progressing nicely prior to her break and won in good fashion at Kempton in January. She was given a fair rise for that win and although in a much tougher race here, may be worth chancing again at a double figure price as it would be daft to think she has finished improving after only half a dozen starts.

Re: Windsor (eve) - 8/6/09 HALLINGDAL 8.30 Windsor. 0.5 points each way. Showed that he's running into a bit of form again last time, and with getting in off a mark of 69 tonight, and with already proving he handles the good/soft ground, I think he has every chance of going well this evening. The extended 1 mile trip should be well within range after running on well last time and so at a very attractive looking 40/1 on Betfair, I think it's well worth an each way bet.
