Name the 1-2-3 in the Derby

Ok, just for bragging rights, name the 1-2-3 in the Derby. Good Luck 11 4-1 Age Of Aquarius 28

A P O´Brien 54P J Smullen 109 111 124 b c Galileo (IRE) — Clara Bow (FR) (Top Ville) Topped the yearling sale at Deauville in 2007 and developing into smart middle-distance colt, although form of his fourth to stable-companion Fame And Glory in the Criterium de Saint-Cloud and game win from the front in Lingfeld Derby Trial suggests he is not one of the strongest of trainer´s six contenders. 23 -31 Black Bear Island 23

A P O´Brien 54Ryan Moore 112 125 134 b c Sadler´s Wells (USA) — Kasora (IRE) (Darshaan) Brother to yard´s 2002 Derby winner High Chaparral and put himself forward as a contender when coming from well back to run down stable-companion Freemantle close home in the Dante; should be well suited by this further step up in trip but hard to rate that form highly with so little separating the first six and needs another significant step forward. 312 1-8 Crowded House 23<a href=bf.gif">

B J Meehan 50Jamie Spencer 120 135 134 ch c Rainbow Quest (USA) — Wiener Wald (USA) (Woodman (USA)) Could not fail to be impressed with the way he stamped his authority over opposition in Racing Post Trophy at Doncaster last October but that form taken plenty of knocks since; scoped badly after disappointing return in the Dante and although connectionsremain bullish, now has plenty to prove, including stamina. 45 113 Debussy 30c.gif

J H M Gosden 61Jimmy Fortune 103 119 122 b c Diesis — Opera Comique (FR) (Singspiel (IRE)) Progressed well since debut on AW last November and gained valuable experience on the track when winning over 1m2f in April, but third to Golden Sword and Masterofthehorse in the Chester Vase last time strongly suggests he will only be playing minor roletoday. 510 -11 Fame And Glory 27

A P O´Brien 54J A Heffernan 122 128 136 b c Montjeu (IRE) — Gryada (Shirley Heights) Had to battle hard to win the Criterium de Saint-Cloud last November but scored with much more authority when giving weight and a beating to his rivals in Group events at Leopardstown this spring, following the example of Galileo and High Chaparral; impressive in the Derrinstown Stud Derby Trial last time but was only accounting for rivals he had beaten in the Ballysax previously and this a far more searching test. 66 2-3 Gan Amhras 35

J S Bolger 52K J Manning 115 131 136 b c Galileo (IRE) — All´s Forgotten (USA) (Darshaan) Marked improvement with every run as a juvenile and maintained his upward curve with third to Sea The Stars in the 2,000 Guineas, always in the firing line and sticking to his task well but lacking the turn of foot of the first two; promises to be well suited by middle distances and has frame claims again. 77 -41 Golden Sword 30d.gif

A P O´Brien 54C O´Donoghue 109 126 126 b c High Chaparral (IRE) — Sitara (Salse (USA)) Improved markedly on his 2yo form stepped up to middle distances this year, notably when responding well to aggressive ride to spring surprise in the Chester Vase; impressed with way he stuck to his task to beat Masterofthehorse and Debussy there under today´s rider but pulling off similar tactics here will not be easy. 88 1-5 Kite Wood 23

Saeed Bin Suroor 52L Dettori 108 122 128 b c Galileo (IRE) — Kite Mark (Mark Of Esteem (IRE)) Went from strength to strength in three starts as juvenile for Michael Jarvis when looking fine prospect for middle distances; subsequently purchased by Godolphin but seemed beaten fair and square when close-up fifth to Black Bear Island in the Dante on return and doubt he will become the first horse beaten in that race to win the Derby. 92 0-2 Masterofthehorse 30<a href=bf.gif">

A P O´Brien 54Richard Hughes 111 122 125 b c Sadler´s Wells (USA) — Shouk (Shirley Heights) Blew out completely in the Racing Post Trophy after his close third to Sea The Stars in the Beresford last autumn but confirmed he is smart colt when runner-up to Golden Sword in the Chester Vase on return, left with mountain to climb when stable-companion kicked clear but finishing well; however, clearly plenty to find and hard to see him achieving Epsom Classic success, as his sister Alexandrova did in the 2006 Oaks. 1011 1-2 Montaff 28

M R Channon 62R Hills 106 80 121 b c Montjeu (IRE) — Meshhed (USA) (Gulch (USA)) Out of grand-daughter of 1986 1,000 Guineas and Oaks winner Midway Lady so pedigree stands scrutiny; improved markedly on 2yo form when close second to Age Of Aquarius in the Lingfield Derby Trial on return last month, succumbing after briefly edging ahead, but lot more needed to take a hand today. 119 7-4 Rip Van Winkle 35

A P O´Brien 54J Murtagh 115 130 135 b c Galileo (IRE) — Looking Back (IRE) (Stravinsky (USA)) Did not have chance to show what he was capable of when favourite for the Dewhurst after getting way too far off the pace from a high draw and was again putting in best work in the closing stages when fourth in the 2,000 Guineas on return (had suffered stone bruise earlier in the week); interesting Johnny Murtagh remains faithful and runs as if he will get 1m2f, but big doubts on breeding about suitability of 1m4f. 124 1-1 Sea The Stars 35

John M Oxx 82M J Kinane 121 137 139 b c Cape Cross (IRE) — Urban Sea (USA) (Miswaki (USA)) 1313 21 South Easter 29

Easy peasy :tongue2 1. Fame and Glory 2. Black Bear Island 3. Masterofthehorse Was a toss up between masterofthehorse and Gan Amhras for the 3rd, but I think O Brien will dominate the race
