Re: Rugby League: Super League XIV Round 15 & Northern Rail Cup 1/4 Finals One for me initially and it's the seemingly regular weekly bet. 3pts Hull KR to beat Huddersfield 11/10 Bet365 I took on Hull KR in a value sense last week but I'm back on my favourite Super League bandwagon. There seems to be a shade of Catalans last season about the way the bookies keep underestimating Hull KR but as punters we can only thank them and take advantage. I'm talking there as if they are certainties tonight. They're not, they are playing a very talented Huddersfield side however as I said last week, it's a Huddersfield side who seem to play better away from home than at home, as they showed in many ways last week. Brett Hodgson is out for the Giants so Leroy Cudjoe will return. Hull KR are ok with personnel although Justin Morgan has hinted he may well swap players positions around a bit to maintain his team's fitness. That's not overly worrying though as KR have some versatile players and in Michael Dobson they have the gamebreaker. This Hull side are hardworking and solid as a rock and they shouldn't be odds against in this game based on their season so far so I'll take advantage again and back the Robins in this one.

Re: Rugby League: Super League XIV Round 15 & Northern Rail Cup 1/4 Finals I'm tempted by Hull tonight with the start but they have done me over too often this year so im going give it a miss and go with the live game. 3pts Huddersfield to bt Hull KR @ 10/11 Sportingbet Like Kev i have been on the Hull KR bandwagon all season they are a very good team. Huddersfield have been very inconsistent this season at Home especially so this is perhaps not the most sensible bet but i was impressed with the spirit Hudds showed against Cas on sunday and feel they may not be too far away from there early season form. Brett Hogdson missing is a big blow for the Giants but there are big misses for Rovers too. A believe it has been Raining around Hudds today so if it goes into a forward battle i am more than happy that this Hudds pack will compete. Rovers come into this on the back of a heartbreaking defeat to Warrington last week and they showed a couple of cracks that i think Hudds will of looked at and look to exploit. 2 big misses for rovers tonight i understand that Paul Cooke is out and also Jake Webster, both are major forces in this team. Also Hudds beat KR comfortably earlier in the year at Craven park (8-30) Should be a good watch but Hudds for me

Good shout there COUH :clap. Unlucky Kev, still reckon you'll be in profit from Rovers this season though :ok. Like the look of the Rhinos tonight

Leeds (-6) to beat Catalans @ 10/11 (Boylesports) 4/5

I don’t think 6 will be enough for Catalans tonight. They’re missing arguably Super League’s best full back tonight in Clint Greenshields and Thomas Bosc will likely drop back to cover. Rhinos have the match of them in defence IMO and with offensive rearrangements on top of that, Catalans could struggle to keep up tonight. Granted, they were unlucky to lose last time out at home to Saints but Greenshields is a massive loss and Bosc out of position is also a big blow.

Leeds trounced Hull last time out and although not the sternest of opponents – Hull’s Chris Thorman had another shocker on the night – they strung together some impressive plays. Danny McGuire looked back to his best with some great flat passes and creative kicks. Robby Burrow is still missing for them but I get the impression the Rhinos are running into some form after a disappointing spell.

All in all, I’m quite confident on Leeds tonight and have gone for my first 4pt bet of the season.

GL all :hope :ok

:puke. Managed to get a feed for the match and Leeds were shocking. The scoreline flattered them and Catalans deserved to win by more. Sorry if anyone followed :$.

No need to apologise mate. You went for what you thought was a good bet. We all get turned over at times but you've been on fire all season in the rugby threads and we all have a blip at some point. You'll hit back in your next bet mate :ok

Re: Rugby League: Super League XIV Round 15 & Northern Rail Cup 1/4 Finals It's just frustrating when you fancy say, a couple of pts on something on the Friday but ultimately decide against it. Then that comes in while your main 4pt bet hits the wall the day after :wall. Sod's law I suppose and you're right, we've all had a good few winners in here the last few weeks.

You'll hit back in your next bet mate :ok
Let's hope so today :hope :ok Wakefield (+6.5) to beat Bradford @ 10/11 (bet365) 3/5 In looking at this game my mind started to worry a little bit as in a certain light it looks a bit too good to be true :unsure. Bradford lie in 13th place and bar a 10-6 win over Leeds in April, have failed to win a game at Odsal all season. They're the only team to be beaten by nailed-on wooden spooners Celtic and come into this game massively low on confidence. Wakefield bounced back from a 4 game losing streak themselves to account for Celtic last week but in reality, today will be a much sterner test. They have shown they can manage to pick up points away from home with wins at Hull, Cas and Wigan this season and with Danny Sculthorpe swapped for Michael Korkidas, John Kear will have hoped to have nipped in the bud the recent "shenanigans" that may have contributed to recent poor defeats. And in Danny Brough, they arguably have one of SL's better half backs. Ultimately, although having a slight suspicion that the bookies could be pulling a fast one, I've looked at the game in this light: if this game was played in the exact set of circumstances as today would you be confident of Bradford winning by 1 clear score more than say...3...maybe 4 times? If the answer is yes then the -6 on Bradford may be more to your tastes but IMO I can honestly say I wouldn't be confident. Win or lose, Wakey with more than a converted try's start are the call for me this afternoon. GL all :hope :ok

Re: Rugby League: Super League XIV Round 15 & Northern Rail Cup 1/4 Finals Hope you start throwing your lot in crossy. As for thr fraggle rock forum, to be fair there's a couple who are sh!thot with early team news and weather updates. And on another obscurish site there's a geezer who's consisently splendid on the League spreads.

Re: Rugby League: Super League XIV Round 15 & Northern Rail Cup 1/4 Finals As much as I disagree with forum lurkers myself, I dont really wanna get involved here to be honest. Heard some bad things about the owners of this site. There are better places to share my thoughts out there. Just wanted to say well done to some of the boys on this thread. :ok
