7.50 Sandown Annabelle's Charm looked all over the winner as she cruised past the two furlong pole at Leicester last time out but under a weak ride from Jamie Spencer she was outbattled by perennial bridesmaid Dark Prospect in the finish. The handicapper took note of the way she travelled though and has put her up seven pounds even in defeat so not only will connections have been annoyed by missing out on the prize money last time, their charge must now run off a raised mark! However, trainer Cumani has taken Spencer off for this ride and Frankie is booked. What Dane O'Neill has done wrong I don't know, after all he was the one that managed to get a tune out of her at Folkestone, but either way, she still looks handicapped to have a chance and is improving with every race and hopefully Frankie can oblige. The other one I like the look of is the less exposed Miss Glitters from the bottom of the weights. Hughie Morrison and Steve Drowne teamed up with Francis Walsingham at Ripon on Monday and the filly could have claims of a follow up from her Southwell win off a 7 lb higher mark. Re: Sandown (eve) - 4/6/09 NORTHERN SPY 8.55 Sandown. 0.5 points each way. For me, he showed enough last time to suggest he's running into a bit of form again. A little improvement can see him go close in this on his best form, and with getting in off a mark of 73, and with no trip and ground concerns, I think he can be involved in the finish. Seb Sanders a good booking for Simon dow and currently at an attractive 20/1.
