He was clearly progressive last year and he has maintained that for his new trainer both in dubai and when back in eng as demonstrated by his win at York lto. He has the ability to travel strongly in his races which is an undoubted advantage and often pounces upon that with a sharp turn of foot. Should be fairly close up today and whilst it is a tough and competitive field, this one is bang in form, proven at this course which can’t be said for all of his rivals and holds a strong chance. 5.40 Riggins 4/5 spo 10 pts I felt this one was slightly unfortunate lto. Went into the race unbeaten on the back of two good and impressive wins a year apart and just never got the breaks. Slowly into stride and just continually hit a wall of horse in what goes down as an unlucky run somewhat. Previously his two wins suggested he could easily make up into something not far short of a pattern performer and if that did happen then ought to be winning this off 89. The trainer clearly holds him in some regard as he did have a group 1 entry in the queen anne at one point but likely to go for the hunt cup if he wins this and good chance of doing so if not at slightly prohibitive odds.
