Re: Rugby League: Challenge Cup Quarter Finals & Co-op Champs Round 11 Sorry for sounding repetitive but I’ve gone for Hull KR again :$.

I think I’ve said enough on this Rovers outfit in the last few weeks but Warrington are building up a nice run of form recently and come into this game having accounted for Wigan 16-8 last week. On their day they are one of the best teams in Super League and Tony Smith has got them playing a more solid game since taking over. However, I reckon they will have to be at the very top of their game to beat this Rovers outfit at CravenPark tomorrow night. They have one of the best halves in Super League in Dobson and with a vastly under-rated pack giving them a solid platform, they have fully deserved to lie in 3rd place this season.

I would have given Warrington a 4/6 point start for this one but VC is only giving 2 and, on the whole, I think that’s too small in the circumstances. Both teams are at near full strength with Netherton & Vella missing for KR while Matt Blythe misses out for Warrington.

Hull KR (-2) to beat Warrington @ 10/11 (VCbet) 3/5

With the above in mind, I’ve also had an each-way bet on the outright price available for KR at 10/1. If they manage to overcome Warrington they are likely to take their place in – if the bookies are to be believed – a semi-final quartet with St Helens, Wigan & Huddersfield. With the semi’s scheduled for neutral ground, as it stands at the minute I would be confident taking Rovers to account for either Wigan or Huddersfield and it’s also worth considering they have an away win at Saints in the form book. With this in mind, the 10/1 looks perfectly reasonable to me.

Hull KR to win the 2009 Challenge Cup @ 10/1 (General) 1.25/5 (E/W 2 places 1/3 odds) GL all :hope :ok

Re: Rugby League: Challenge Cup Quarter Finals & Co-op Champs Round 11 3Pts Hull KR -2 to bt Warrington @ 5/6 Stan James I,m with you on the Hull KR handicap bet Leespam. Still dont think that Rovers are getting the credit they deserve. They are a very good team these days and have the best coach in SL in my opinion. They come into this game on the back of 6 straight wins inc beating Warrington in Edinburgh. They are almost at Full strength for this game and its not an away tie Warrington will be looking forward to. Warrington on the other hand are also in decent form winning 5 from 6 with the defeat the above mentioned Hull KR reverse. Ive stated before that i think Tony Smith will get Warrington on the right track and turn them into a top 4 outfit in time. Im still not confident that they are there yet and they are always likely to throw the odd "Warrington" unpredictable perfomance in somewhere. Id rather be on the side of a very Consistent KR side especially at Craven Park. Might just pinch your advice on a back of KR Outright as well

Re: Rugby League: Challenge Cup Quarter Finals & Co-op Champs Round 11 Agree with everything that's been said so far. However I'm going the other way. 2 for me tonight. 3pts Warrington to beat Hull KR 6/4 Ladbrokes Both these sides are in good form at the minute. I'm one of I'm sure many who've made a lot of cash out of Hull KR this season but Warrington are playing well and when the conditions suit they can pile up a huge number of points. I don't see their being a lot between these sides and if anything man for man I'd probably have the Wolves slightly better. Both have players who can open up defences in Dobson for KR and Briers for Wire and if this wasn't a cup match I'd have been on the overs in a shot. Warrington have Chris Hicks back tonight so their tries could get the maximum reward and although KR are at full strength too I think there's a touch of value in this 6/4 on Warrington and will have a go on them to cause a small upset. 3pts Celtic Crusaders vs Wakefield - Over 48.5pts 5/6 Ladbrokes Celtic Crusaders are rarely involved in a low scoring game and Wakefield aren't in too many either. Neither side come into this match in good form but Wakefield will have Danny Brough back tonight which will make a huge difference. Michael Korkidas is back at Belle Vue and he could provide a lot of go forward for the Wildcats. Brad Drew could also return which would boost the chances of points. The weather couldn't be better. Conditions will be perfect and with two sides who score a few points and concede plenty I think we've every chance of seeing 49pts or more.

Re: Rugby League: Challenge Cup Quarter Finals & Co-op Champs Round 11 That cup result was the worst result all round :sad. I watched the game with the sound off as I was listening to the cricket on the radio. Anyone know what the late penalty that KR equalised with was for :unsure.

I know how you feel, was out for he game. I had the Bulls, st helens on the handicap and warrington outright for the win at 6/4 in a £200 treble. Thought I had won until i found out the game had gone into extra time:wall

Re: Rugby League: Challenge Cup Quarter Finals & Co-op Champs Round 11 The penalty Bentham gave was alledgedly for Offside. To be honest i thought that he had a shocker all round today. I love the game but all too often lately it is being ruined by referees. I appreciate that they have a tough job but little things are beginning to irk me like when he knows he makes a bad decision you just know that he is going to even it out. Its the same on both sides of the world as well.

Re: Rugby League: Challenge Cup Quarter Finals & Co-op Champs Round 11 One for today. 3pts Castleford +8.5pts to beat Huddersfield 4/5 Bet365 As I mentioned pre-season I like the look of Castleford this season and while they may well have left a few points out on the pitch this season, they've usually been competitive in their matches. Huddersfield are a bit of a weird side. Amazing away from home but pretty inconsistent at home this season. They could be without their full back and usual goal kick Brett Hodgson this afternoon so the youngster Leroy Cudjoe could deputise. Cas will be without Brent Sherwin and Ryan Hudson but Ryan McGoldrick, Richard Owen and Kirk Netherton are all back from injury to boost the back line. Salford went to the Galpharm and won a couple of weeks ago and it wouldn't surprise me if Cas do the same today but after yesterday I'll play it safe and take the Tigers with the 8.5pt head start.

Re: Rugby League: Challenge Cup Quarter Finals & Co-op Champs Round 11 Yeah, top shout Kev :ok. Disappointing weekend for myself :(. But as you said in your write-up for the KR game, I've earned more than enough from KR in the last few weeks not to be too down-hearted. Just can't wait for next week now the football's finished.
