2.25 Westphalia 4/1 bet3 bog 10 pts Open looking classic here and I like O’Brien’s first string. He has another runner in here that could not be totally ruled out but looks here to ensure this isn’t a crawl and that should suit Westphalia. Westphalia had some good form last season including a group 2 at don over the highly regarded zacinto and a fine effort in the breeders cup when just losing to donativum. His reappearance this term was behind one of these in silver frost but given that run surely would have been needed like so many of o’brien’s, it was not a bad effort at all and he could overturn that form and go close here. 3.00 Fantasia evens pp bog 20 pts An extremely good 2 year old last year including at a mile and only found rainbow view better but then seemingly improved with a terrific performance to win the nell gywn showing she has a great cruising speed. She annihilated her rivals that day with an easy 7 length win that could have been more. She did not go for the eng 1000g as the owner preferred rainbow view and probably regrets that now but this is a good chance to get some kind of consolation.

Re: Longchamp - 10/5/09 15:00 - Fantasia @ evs Hills I wrote this LTO: 'This filly looks very classy indeed and was only 2½ behind the impressive 1000 guineas favourite Rainbow View, that form does look very strong indeed and gives her a massive chance here. She has been a winner on her only other two career runs, winning her maiden at Newmarket and then followed that up with a win at Goodwood. She is a winner over both 6&7f, runs over 7f today. Frankie Dettori is back to ride and will take the ride on this horse, assuming she is fit and well she will take all the beating here.' She 'hacked' up by 7 lengths and does indeed look very classy, the trip is one more furlong today (a mile) but she gets it alright having finished 2nd to Rainbow View over a mile. Frankie Dettori saddles again.
