Laying Horses - What to look for??

Just curious what you guys look for when you are considering laying a horse? I don't really understand the stats that are shown on the racing post, such as OR, Topspeed etc etc.... I tend to read too much about what 'spotlight' says on the racing post rather than using my own judgement. It's amazing the amount of 12/1+ horses that come in when the text about the horse sounds like it wouldn't stand a chance. Any thoughts? Thanks, Aldric

Re: Laying Horses - What to look for?? Ignore spotlight for a start. That is just someone else's view. I think looking for trainers that are badly out of form is a very good start.
