Latin Tinge could run well at a price and makes her handicap debut here. She was a nose second in a Newbury maiden on her debut as the front two pulled well clear of the field and that performance must have pleased trainer Paul Cole, who entered her in the Group 2 May Hill stakes at Doncaster for her second start. That was a race won by Rainbow View and the second Snoqualmie Girl is a listed level winner whilst the third, Lahaleeb, won a Group 3 at Newbury recently and is another promising filly. Latin Tinge finished at the back of the field, but seems to have been rather up against it mixing it with fillies of pattern class. Even the fourth, for example, was only beaten by a length by Fantasia at Goodwood on her previous start. A drop in class thereafter saw Latin Tinge hack up in a Kempton maiden in September on polytrack over a mile - which bodes well for today. She was last seen in a conditions race at Newmarket in November, and although she finished back in fourth, that form is worthless considering the race was run at a time 10.8 seconds below standard which would not have suited this filly who likes to be held up. She begins handicapping off a mark of 84, and although may not be a Group horse was was initially hoped, she may be able to make a mark in handicaps and looks worth chancing at the price today. 8/1 Bet 365.
