Newmarket - Thurs 16/4/09

Recommended Posts

5.20 Newmarket Typically the sort of horse that has been winning this handicap is a lightly raced type with around three or four starts, with an official rating of 80 or more and whose sire has a stamina index around 10f+. Although by Dansili (9.0f), Legislate does infact come from a family with a staying pedigree as he is related to a long list of 10-12f winners, including high class 10f colt Tenby and the smart Bristol Channel (8-12f winner). He makes his handicap debut here off a mark of 81 and was impressive last time out, displaying a terrific attitude at Lingfield to out battle Jesse James when Ryan Moore moved John Gosden's colt, a 130,000 euro purchase, alongside him. That race came over a mile, but he left the impression that he'd get further, something also reiterated by his relatives and I think he could run well at what is approaching a double figure price here.

I have a good feeling about suroor this year and some of the animals they have coming forward, they took some jipp last year and they seem back in force and up for doing some damage, 3-35 at Newmarket 'CITY STYLE' might just mug the fav due to it needing the run, 'CITY STYLE' has won its last 2 starts and only once been out the picture, Frankie takes the ride and should be nailed for an e/w punt. The pick has a danger in the hills horse, could be anything but again might need the run, but one very much for the note book, Note book ---ALYARF/HILLS.
