Crouch Potato
Warriors v Eels - Eels 1-12 @ 4.50 TAB Despite the fact that the Warriors are expected to win easily I feel they will struggle. This will be quite an emotional game given that one of the brightest young stars died during the off-season and this will be a significant factor. Eels have a new coach in Daniel Anderson who used to coach the Warriors and he should have the Eels ready for this one. Parra have a decent squad and a strong record against the Warriors, and when you combine this with the fact that you generally see a few upsets in the first rounds, I think Eels 1-12 is a smart bet. AJ
Re: NRL Round 1 Nope, I'm on the Warriors tonight. They are going to have a great season, full house at Mt Smart will bring them home. They'll win this one for Sonny.
Crouch Potato
Re: NRL Round 1 SHarks v Penrith - Penrith 1-12 @ 4.50 Betstar/Tab First few rounds often produce some upsets and this is a prime candidate. Sharks struggled in trials and have a new halves combination from last year. Penrith are a bit of a bogey team for the Sharks and certainly have enough talent in their squad to take home the two points. The great thing about Sharks game is that because of their style margins are almost always <13, so 1-12 is always likely to offer some value, and with the game a strong contender for an upset this bet makes for nice value. Nothing serious for the Manly game, but have taken Anthony Watmough for first try @ 26 Centrebet. Teams often struggle against Watmough's against the grain runs and given the situation coming into this game it would certainly be fitting.
