Do you feel the 'need' to bet?

Recommended Posts

So, we all do a bit of study on the horses! If you study a race, whether it be for 10 minutes or an hour, do you feel the need to have a bet in it as, if you don't, it will be classed as 'dead' time? I looked at 2 races for tomorrow for about 1.5 hours in total. Have a 'fancy' in both races, 1 is too short in the betting, the other has a few too many question marks so I'm leaving both races alone. For me, no bet is no problem. Your views?:ok

Re: Do you feel the 'need' to bet? Im the same Russ, if there isn't a bet there, just isn't a bet there. I have on many occasions studied for a pretty long time on a race only to narrow it down to say 4, but then struggle to get beyond that and, although its annoying, I wont have a bet in it. I will simply watch the race and see what happens, and if one of my 'fancies' win then I would still be pleased, despite my wallet not being so!! I find that this happens more often for me at the weekend when the races are a high standard and it is at points difficult to rule out anything, never mind find a winner! But I certainly wouldn't bet if I wasn't confident about it, no matter how long I had spent deciphering the race.
