Building a Bankroll From $40

Further to my post on the introduction of Full Tilt's micro-stakes tables, I thought it would be fun to try to build a bankroll from next to nothing, to prove that it can still be done in the post-UIGEA and Poker Tracker era. I'm not sure what bankroll i'm targeting, I guess as I'm starting out at $0.01/$0.02, it would nice to get bankrolled for $1/$2 (which is also about as high as I'd feel comfortable playing off 20 buy ins). So far I've racked up 2541 hands, I'll post some poker tracker stats/graphs with analysis shortly, and maybe update every 2500 hands (or when I move up a level). Plus I'll post some interesting hands for people to discuss if they feel like it.

Re: Building a Bankroll From $40 General.jpg I think the main thing to take from this is the very simple straightforward game I'm playing - 15/13/3 - there really is no need to get at all tricky at these levels, people are going to mistakes, and a simple TAG game will work. I'm stealing a decent amount, and not getting too out of line from the blinds. Also note that, even at these stakes, rake does add up - working out at about a $2 buy in for every 500 hands played. I'm getting 27% rakeback, which will obviously add to the bankroll in time. One final thing here - a BB/100 win rate of 23.50 is just not sustainable at higher stakes, and I have my doubts (despite the soft tables) whether it is sustainable at $0.01/$0.02. My guess would be that it settles down eventually at somewhere between 12-16 at these stakes.
