Spam from PokerRooms

This year, I have set up a new email address for use with poker - I have only used it for poker related stuff, and 95% are poker rooms (not all are transferred over yet, indeed, only a small fraction. The only non poker rooms I can recall having given the email address to is Neteller and RTR. So I'm a bit surprised to already receiving poker related spam as my best guess that either one of the poker rooms are selling on their database, or an employee is selling it off. If that's the case, then I'd imagine almost everyone on PL is receiving the same spam.... So I'm curious - anyone else received the following spam? Received: 18:56 tonight Title: Free book and $25 for poker players Content: Ladbrokes affiliated sign up link linked in with Roy The Boy Brindley (I cannot imagine Ladbrokes or RoyTheBoy are involved in it) Also got spam from a company called minxybingo - no idea who they are - but maybe a spin off from one of the sites I am signed up with.....so maybe semi-legitimate.

Re: Spam from PokerRooms I've just had an email direct from Roy Brindley :loon It seems it is a genuine email on his behalf (I really thought it was a phishing email). I still dont know how his agents got my email address, but am happier knowing it is legitimate and "as it says on the tin".

Re: Spam from PokerRooms There is allways 2 or 3 waiting for me when i log on in the evening. Unheard of online casinos are the norm offering "free chips" or "play free for an hour and what you win you keep" :eyes A click of the mouse on the delete button sorts them out :ok

Re: Spam from PokerRooms Got the Laddies one too. More interestingly I've stopped gettng Viagra spam, reckon they have my D.O.B and think I'm past it. Get and have used lots of the bingo freebies. I cant quite do the maths but there must be something wrong with bingo free money (that is almost impossible to withdraw) competeing against depositing players.
