bowles10 Posted January 28, 2009 Share Posted January 28, 2009 2.30 Towcester DECREE NISI (EW) Worth an EW interest to return to form tomorrow off an OR of 95 having struggled running off 100+ recently. Won a class 5 event at Kempton last March on soft ground off a weight of 11st 12lb. Followed that with a 3rd 11L behind off a rating of 102. Has been stepped up in trip recently & now interesting that the horse is back over the minimum distance. Ran well at this course when 3rd 1.5L behind the winner off a rating of 100. Neil Harvey Could run a big race on his two runs so far on the flat and has gone on Soft ground (Heavy shouldnt be a problem) and hosed up under Liam Treadwell at this track LTO by 10 lengths and should be a major player in this weak contest. Danger Quentin Collonges Was up there at the 3rd last and was headed briefly but was coming back then weakened in a tough race at Newbury and now back down to 2 miles and could find improvement. Poliglotti Who managed a well deserved 3rd LTO over G&D at this track could easily go well again as he is coming down in the weights by 3lbs and looks a likely candidate. The Walnut Tree Should go off a big price but does have form over G&D and has won back in last march at Plumpton carrying 3lbs more than todays mark and could make the frame. Glimmer Of Light Could be worth aother chance at the weights as he has been contesting mainly Class 4 races over G&D and has placed 2/4 over over this trip in stronger races and could figure in the finish. Sumdancer Has a 33% Strike rate and placed on his 3 runs over G&D and is coming down by 2lbs on his win at Plumpton in January last year and loks a decent E/W chance. Faversham Is another with a good strike rate over G&D (50%) and has won off 4lbs heavier at Bangor in November and has only been out of the frame once in 4 of his last rides. Danger Inn or The Dancer Will be interesting to see how he performs reverting back to the jumps from the AW and if coming back to his 2006 form he could be a big danger. Blaze Ahead Is weighted to find improvement and he is 4lbs down on his last G&D run at Exeter a couple of years back where he managed a 3rd, Trainer & Jockey combo showing a 33% Strike rate at this track. Fisheman Jack Does have to cope with being out of the handicap but does have good form over G&D and holds a 100% Strike rate and carried 11-3 to victory at Bangor in March 2006. Lupita Could fill in the places at a decent price, Does need to find a bit of improvement at the weights but his 2nd two outings ago could be strong enough to be in the frame. Mark The Book Would need to get over his 399 Day break and improve slightly on his Chase form but does have a 100% record over this trip and carried 11-4 to victory and should be watched in the market. Sir Peter Is another who has a decent record over this trip (50%) and did record a victory carrying 11-10 at Exeter last year and should be worth a E/W punt at the very least. Brukirk Lass Would ned to take to this ground, But has won at this track before and should be a likely candidate at the finish. Tom George the trainer sent out 4 hurdlers here at Towcester during 2008/2009 season yielding 3 winners!
