fintron
2.40 Lingfield Eleven runners line up for the William Hill Telebetting On 0800 44 40 40 handicap tomorrow. Dinner Date has been in good form at Kempton but may be a tag high in the weights now, and those with course and distance form - Dudley Docker, Hucking Hero, Paradise Dancer and Pegasus Again - all have something to prove on the evidence of last time out form. Of that quartet, Hucking Hero and Pegasus Again make the most appeal at the weights as Hucking Hero is running off a mark 1 lb lower that his last win and Pegasus Again is back down to a winning mark. However, all could up upstaged by L’Hirondelle and Ocean Legend who filled the minor placings behind Harald Bluetooth over this trip at Kempton in a higher grade handicap last time out. The former is lightly raced for his age and looks the least exposed of the pair after only four career starts. After refusing to race on his debut he gained compensation at Kempton in November when a wide-margin winner over 9 furlongs in a maiden contest. He hung right around the bend when stepped up in trip on his next start here when 5th of 12, but appreciated a drop back in trip last time out when keeping on only to be headed inside the final furlong. However, the well-backed winner was an above average sort for the grade and is prominent in the betting for this years Lincoln and looks quite useful, considering he actually pulled up lame after that race so won despite not being at his best. Ocean Legend split the pair last time and was a length infront of the third, but he always seems to find one or two too good and has won only once from 18 starts. The yard’s runners have been running consistently, and running off idential weights again tomorrow they could both be closely matched again. However, Michael Attwater too is enjoying a good time of it of late with a 40 % strike rate from ten runners in the past fornight, and there is every reason to believe that after such a small number of starts further improvement is possible for his gelding, who can feasbily reverse the form and scoop the £4,857 prize. TOP CAT
Re: Lingfield Wednesday BOLLYWOOD STYLE is worth a buck in the 16-25 2nd last time out but did hit a little traffic should get his head in front this time jockey -p nolan and trainer Mr john best only have this sole runner in the last race that should speak for itself, it should not be a long wait for nothing, Take the early price. fintron
Re: Lingfield 28/1/09 3.15 Lingfield Drum Major has only the one race to his name but this Sadler's Wells colt came very close to doubling his tally when beaten by less than a length lto. Prior to that he finished 4th to some useful sorts.... Wine 'n Dine, the winner, looks progressive and followed up off 81 next time out. The 2nd, Cape Colony is closely matched with Wine 'n Dine and also rated in the 80's. The third, Choir Singer, won off 70 next time out in a handicap. Drum Major was a further 3.5 lengths back in 4th, but he runs off a mark of just 70 here so could have a chance. The form of his maiden win has been recently boosted by Dayia (handicap winner off 72) so he could have a sniff at a price. Tissue 7's. 3.50 Lingfield Zalkani is a course and distance winner and arrives in fair form with three wins from his last six starts, the latest of which came off a 4 lb lower mark. He's been dropped a lb from his last start and wasn't beaten that far so can't be written off. The trainer is in form, he's race fit, and at a tissue of 7/1 too could be worth a go. Old Romney has bumped into a couple of useful types for the grade such as Stand Guard and Saucy, but has been running with consistency and could be backable each-way if as big as 10/1. The trainer is in decent enough form, and an easing mark means he's only 1 lb higher than his last win. A drop in trip may revive his form compared to lto and he has previous course form. Tedthewolf
Re: Lingfield 28/1/09 3.15 RED WINE E/W~Trainer in very good form and is on a very handy mark. 3.50 OUR KES E/W~F/C price of 16/1 is big as she is back to a winable mark and although the draw hasn't been that kind is capable of a bold show. PL2008
Re: Lingfield 28/1/09 Lingfield 12:30 Scarlet Oak 5th of 8 lto. 4th won yesterday. Punching. 2nd placed second next time out. winner won next time and placed after. All races (4) were all in Handicaps. Drop to a seller looks like a good move for Scarlet Oak. Should only need reproduce lto's effort to give others trouble. 5pts ew @ 8-1 Sportingbet
Trotter
Re: Lingfield 28/1/09 2.40 - Hucking Hero - win Dual CD winner, has now dropped in the weights back below his last winning mark With a couple of front runners in the field this could be run at a fast pace and Hucking Hero has run creditably over 10F last time. As a hold up horse he should be able to lie up behind the pace and pounce when the leaders begin to tire Main danger appears to be Ocean Legend, I'd pick him if he had any Lingfield form, but he doesn't. If he takes to the track I think he'll probably win. Likely favourite is the lightly raced L'Hirondelle. Both his decent runs have been at Kempton and on his only run at Lingfield he couldn't handle the left hand bend, running wide. He might just be a horse that has a 'direction preference' The other well backed one is Torch Of Freedom - don't fancy this one. The Prescott yard has been sending out a few lately having their first runs since the summer and they've all disappointed.
Falbrav
Re: Lingfield 28/1/09 CARAVAN OF DREAMS 2.05 Lingfield. Not shown as much as expected thus far, but can do better and I think today will show improvement. The trip and surface should be fine and so with improving that little amount and getting the race run to suit, he can go very close. 1 point win.
