Re: Newcastle 20/12 12.40 Carrietau Could take this with Ryan Mania taking the ride and does have the form to take a race like this, Watch The Wind E/W could place with handy 7lbs taken off with her claimer. 1.15 Viscount Rossini has the best form to offer here by far and could win this and could get a 4 timer over G&D, Burnbank could place on his 2nd last time out and is now 4lbs down with Dougie Costello who has a 100% record for trainer. 2.20 According To Pete cannot be ignored on his recent form but does have to cope with the weight rise, Mill Side is over a stone better off then the first mentioned and could nick the race off him. 2.55 Pat Attention who has run some blinders even though he has carried top weight on 4/6 G&D runs and could be a major danger. 3.25 Just For Men has a great chance at the weight to get a just deserved win, Akilak is another who has a good chance to make up for his defeat 40 days ago.

Re: Newcastle 20/12 Mill Side 2.20 Newcastle One of mine to follow and won a beginners chase in good style here over 2m4f. Got 3m over hurdles but not won on soft ground. Was disappointing last time out at Cheltenham but is still lightly raced for an 8 year old and open to improvement. Course form is a plus and it was staying on when it won indicating it should get 3m over jumps aswell as hurdles. It will have to improve to beat According To Pete, that one has 3 wins in a row including 2 chases and has won on heavy. In what effectively looks like a 2 horse race I'd rather take 4-1 on Mill Side than odds on for ATP.

Re: Newcastle 20/12 my best bet of the day would be carrietau 1240 newc. 1 pt win. all about the ground for me and with us suited to it and having every chance in context with the race, i think he has every chance. trips fine and jockey takes very valuable 5lb off.

Class 5 race so getting him fit after a long break might not be too hard of work. 2pts ew @ 25-1 Bet365 BOG Lingfield 14:40 Play Up Pompey 3 of 4 career wins have come from this course and distance. The latest being his penultimate start on 08Dec08 getting pass 2ND place by 3 lengths. Lost by 3 lengths LTO at this course at the trip of 1m4f. Analysis by RP from LTO is below. his weapons don't look as potent at this trip and he will be of more interest when returning to 1m2f. 3pts ew @ 14-1 Bet365 BOG Lingfield 15:20 Step It Up (IRE) Won here last month on course debut. Followed up with a 6 of 12 at Kempton next time. There was a jockey change after the win from Pat Cosgrave to Steve Drowne. Cosgrave back on here so he might just do as good as he did when last seen here. 10pts to win @ 5-1 Ladbrokes Lingfield 15:20 After The Show Course and distance form is 51633.
