8.20 Great Leighs This race is the highlight of the card for me and is a 5 furlong dash. I'm happy to draw a line through many of these that have failed to win at this level before and the one that stands out to me at the prices is Ebraam, currently 9/ with Paddypower. Paul Howling's horse has been running consistently and has proven in the past he is good enough to win a race at this level. Only 4 lbs above his last winning mark (in this grade), he ran well enough at Kempton off 1 lb higher recently to suggest he is potentially weighted to score. Although he hasn't managed to get his head infront recently I think he may have been stretched by 7f, and the drop back to the minimum trip here could work in his favour as he's racing back over a distance at which he is proven. 1 pt win

Re: Best bet of the day - 18/12/08 2.30 Southwell: Yakimov Three time course & distance winner who hasn't shown much in 2 runs since break. Return to ideal trip of 1m today and if able to reproduce the form shown when 2nd in C&D handicap from a mark of 85 in May would be in with a shout in this company. WIN
