Sheffield Shield - WA v VIC

Recommended Posts

Today Western Australia take on Victoria in the Sheffield Shield. Victoria look to be the outstanding team of the domestic season. They welcome back Peter Siddle and can boast four strong fast bowlers, which is important on the bouncy Perth wicket. Both teams are strong in batting but the Waca's look a little weak when it comes to bowling. Their bowlers can keep it tight in the shorter forms of the game, but they lack a genuine game breaker in their pace outfit. I think the Bushrangers should get the points on the road. Note that in the event that there in no outright result the winner will be the team that claims first innings points. Back Victoria to win at $1.65 with Betfair

Re: Sheffield Shield - WA v VIC Victoria are looking good with WA 4-123 after 45 overs. All their strike batsmen are out, except for Marcus North, who is very dangerous. Strike bowler Nannes has been suspended for bowling again in the first innings after this - from Cricinfo.com

  • DP Nannes was removed from the attack by umpire AR Craig under law 42 after bowling three consecutive full tosses (One claiming the wicket of SE Marsh and two at the head of LA Pomersbach). Nannes was unable to bowl again in the Western Australia first innings. PM Siddle completed the over.
  • LM Davis (1) retired hurt at 23/2 (7.5 ov)(Hit in head by a bouncer from Siddle).

Incredible!
